What would you go for?
Anyone tried any of these? Not sure what to go for.

The derby bottle being in an allocated group is weird. It’s regular Woodford in a limited edition bottle. There is a limited amount yes but not so limited they’re hard to find.

Honestly a lot of people aren’t aware it’s just re labeled regular WR

That’s a bummer, I’m not sure about else where but they’re easy to get and the price isn’t shabby for it being a liter bottle, I’ve been seeing them for 49.99 everywhere 🤷♂️

I don't understand the hype over it. A couple years back i was at a Total wine in April and there was a swarm of people gathered around an employee about to stock them on the shelf and they were grabbing the bottle as he was putting them up. You're paying 50% more just for a pretty drawing on the front of the bottle. It's not about the whiskey at that point it's Pokémon cards. Gotta catch them all.

Yeah, but Buffalo Trace is also in the group, and I hardly call that "allocated". Although it's a little hard to get at the moment. If they had the Double Double Oaked Woodford, it would make more sense.

Cask strength tequila cask finish. It's not for everyone but for me it's the standout here by a mile.

Yea, like all the people getting swept up in the Jack Daniels bandwagon really seem to be lacking in individuality. Jack Daniels isn't a bad whiskey, but I'm not going out of my way to drop $150 on a bottle, much less the $300-900 I see listed on the secondary market. Charcoal filtering (the defining characteristic between bourbon and Tennessee whiskey) is a process that strips flavor and color. It makes for a "smoother" end product, sure, but I buy expensive whiskey for the uniqueness. If you filter it out, then why am I paying a premium.
In other words, Jack Daniels is probably my favorite cheap whiskey, same with Evan Williams BiB, but for the same reason it tastes good as a cheap whiskey, I won't buy the expensive stuff.

I feel like that’s the most sleeper bottle in the bunch. I’d be grabbing that as well.

One of the JD age stated bottles or the 4 roses barrel strength. I don’t feel like 4 roses gets the love it deserves.

Definitely the Jack 14. Then the Maker's Private Selection. And if I still had money left over, the Snout to Tail Whistle pig. The Lagavulin 12 looks intriguing, but I don't like the Islay peatiness. Maybe a Macallan 15 instead?
