I wanted to thank everyone again for all of the love on Merlin's previous posts. I wish I knew about this community and shared him with everyone while he was still here, but I will share his memory instead. This was the day we got him in 2012.

I am still grieving him so much but something wonderful happened. I thought I had lost all of his early puppy photos a few years ago because my hard drive died, but I found all of them in a random folder on my computer.

I watched old videos of him with my family and we all laughed together. But after they left I started crying. I found a YouTube video that I had made to introduce him to everyone.

The song's lyrics were "I've been waiting all my life to love you" and I just bawled.

I lost the comfort in my life but it does bring me happiness now that I found all of his old photos ❤

I have a 6 month Aussie had him since he was a baby, and boy let me tell you I’m close to my wits end. I have tried EVERYTHING, when it comes to potty training he intentionally pisses in his crate to get out I noticed he’s picked up on the fact that anytime he goes potty in his crate he immediately gets let out and now he’s using it to his advantage. He gets plenty of playtime outside and with the family around the house but he’s an Aussie so sometimes I gotta let him cool off in his crate. But this is something he’s does multiple times throughout the day and it’s not a small mess either he will make a damn puddle by the time he’s done peeing. Anytime I tell him to go home (crate) he’ll run in there and piss so I’m forced to let him stay out until it’s cleaned. I only use the crate for positive reinforcement such as feeding, sleeping, and just resting throughout the day. He’s very stubborn and will bark to no end until he gets let out, again he gets plenty of playtime and training outside of his crate throughout the day. Another thing he does, idk if it’s genetic thing or I just picked the runt of the litter is that he cowers ALOT, and sometimes (all the time it makes my blood boil) he will screech whenever it’s time for me to get him from playing outside. I use a long line which is about 15 feet long attached to his collar, and I’ve tried using treats to motivate him for recalls but he is stubborn. So anytime I’m forced to go get him he will screech like I’m beating him and I have neighbors and they probably think I abuse this dog. Im so fed up and frustrated because I don’t wanna give up on him but it’s hard …

The white one, Sierra is weighing in an almost 40lbs at 4 months old! The black dog sweetie is my original baby and she 32-35lbs and 5 years old. So it’s funny to see the puppy growing so fast!

My 15 year old Aussie is turning into a fragile, old man before my eyes. He has arthritis throughout, mild, chronic bronchitis, and bladder stones that may require future surgery to remove. Please send my 'Best Boy' some love. He never complains or acts like anything is wrong. 💕

We just picked up our aussie who is now turning 2, and she's lived on a huge farm her whole life and so I was worried bringing her into the city would be a difficult adjustment. Especially in terms of fulfilling her exercise requirements (as I've read everywhere they are working dogs and require a lot)...

It's only been 3 days but she seems to be the biggest couch potato. I've taken her out on walks 6x a day but she seems lazy to go out, doesn't have interest at all in fetching, playing, or running. Shes napping or lying around throughout the day, and also doesn't have much interest in the puzzle toys I got her. Should I be worried she's sick or depressed? She seems happy, following us everywhere and wagging her tail. She's also extremely well behaved on the leash, towards people, etc.

Our 13 year old female mini Aussie passed away unexpectedly last year. We just welcomed Teddy to the family. He is a handful!

Little Orla has been with us a bit over two months now. She was a rescue, insecure and timid, but has made so much progress. Such a delightful puppers...

We took a leap of faith and decided to venture a trip to the Oregon Coast, and she's been great! Handled the journey like a champ and is loving the beach time.

I’ve had her for about 10 months after getting her from another couple who had little kids. She’s 1 1/2 y/o. I have kids in the house and she’s never tried to bite, nip, or chase them. I have family in town who have a toddles and 5 year old and she’s been all over them, standing over them, putting her mouth around their arms/feet (not biting down but like a warning), just super hyper about always paying attention to them. I’ve been reprimanding her, telling her no, being very direct when she does it. I had an Aussie growing up and she kinda had tendencies like this. Tonight, I was in the shower and she always sits outside the door waiting for me. The 5 year old came over to the door to and she jumped up and nipped her face. It didn’t break the skin or leave a mark but my niece started crying instantly. I’m so pissed off and worried she’ll be like this around future kids that I have in the house. Anyway to stop it or is this just part of the package?

And I also found some photos of when he was younger that I took with my camera. I will share more of them here eventually. He was such a handsome boy and it made me smile when my plush arrived.

I am still grieving and feeling the loss of his presence. The house is too quiet without him!

I paid for his cremation yesterday and he was probably collected from the vet today. I also got his paw and nose print and also a casting of 2 of his paws. It is kind of morbid to think about, right? But I didn't want to regret it and he deserves to be remembered.
