This is an uncanny middle-stage where we simultaneously appreciate our central nervous system yet doubt free will

I swear, if there's Aliens visiting Earth they would freak out seeing creature on this planet.
I'd like to imagine, while emerging life is not something rare in the universe, the biodiversity on Earth is ridiculously mind-blowing by Universe standard.
As a friendly reminder, what we have today is the leftover where 90% species of the past is extinct.

I think these are the aliens. And if not in the ocean the insects. I mean come on... bugs freak me out. Only exception is the fuzzy bee. The rest... 👽 lol

I know this will not be a popular opinion, but that starfish is absolutely beautiful!

I hope an alien doesn't to do this to me and zoom in on my butthole-mouth before yeeting me back to Earth.

Ngl I wouldn’t mind being reincarnated into that. Maybe I’ll get eaten by some rando fish but wouldn’t care.

Genuine question, do those have eyes ?

Per Wikipedia “Most ophiuroids have no eyes, or other specialised sense organs. However, they have several types of sensitive nerve endings in their epidermis, and are able to sense chemicals in the water, touch, and even the presence or absence of light. Moreover, tube feet may sense light as well as odors. These are especially found at the ends of their arms, detecting light and retreating into crevices.”
