Seize control of key government infrastructure, forcefully eject the country from global trade, isolate, consolidate, and rule forever.

When they said they were winning, they weren’t lying. It’s just their end goal isn’t the same as ours.

Atwood is incredible with her ability to build futuristic novels using the past and tweaking accordingly. I read that book in 2002 in high school and it still gives the same could be us vibes. Her MadAddam trilogy is even more realistic to todays times. Check it out.

They are using it like a handbook

As soon as I saw the episode of the Washington Monument as a cross was the day I stopped watching that show. I grew up around that area and went there, practically, every weekend with my best friend. Metro was so convenient.

I raged so hard I just about put my foot through the TV. My wife asked me not to do that because she'd have to sweep up the pixels from the floor ;).

Literally how Putin did it

Putin went courts, media, oligarchs - just slightly different order, but the same outcome.

China will win for about 20 years before their birth rate collapses on them

Seriously, I've never seen a country with such a ticking time bomb (maybe Venezuela building their welfare state on the oil barrel price hike)

Maybe it´s time for sensible americans to move to china to counteract that a bit and live under a better government...

u/Zrttr 1d ago

live under a better government...

Lol if you think working conditions and living costs are bad in America, just wait till you find out what they're like in China

From the Chinese people I know, it seems like they honestly have it pretty good over there

u/isjahammer 1d ago

At least i´d rather live in a country that has a leadership that isn´t flat out going backwards like the US under Trump lol...

u/greyls 1d ago

So long as you toe the party line

0

u/Chucknastical 1d ago

So like being in the US under Trump

3

u/greyls 1d ago

US websites are chock full of anti-Trump or simply anti US media. That does not exist anywhere close to the same level in China because they will crackdown. So, respectfully, that's a rather laughable comparison

Oh muffin.

You're on your way and you can't even see it.

Enjoy that freedom while you can.

If you believe that then I have to say I think you're a bit too deep in the reddit koolaid

I love China and am guilty of promoting it a little... fanatically... but make no mistake about this: China is for Chinese people. The PRC does a very good job of taking care of its own people and prioritizing their well being and power on the world stage. This does not apply to you. You cannot integrate. Your only hope would be marrying Chinese and having children who are Chinese citizens.
