The problem problem with rocket
 in  r/marvelrivals  1h ago

He's supposed to be one of the most intelligent marvel characters but requires the least amount of thought to play

Buddy, are you just throwing your rez station anywhere? You have to think about where to put it. Is it too far? Too close? Too easy to find? Etc.

Also, because his healing so easy, you're supposed to take advantage of the extra brain power and attention and make call outs and comms. Being a healer, you get the see the fight from a big picture. You are taking advantage of this, right?

because his gun is the only projectile in the game to have damage falloff.

Because it's supposed to be used up close? When the devs design something, there's purpose. Take 2 seconds to think about why.

ALSO WHY DOES HE HAVE NO EXPLOSIVES

Because Peni fills the bomb character niche. Maybe Squirrel girl, too.

And when you escape divers, do you wanna boost up or away or into your teammates? Being slippery is fun.

Rocket is both easy and challenging to play.

It's not a "plot hole" it's a fucking joke (Devil May Cry & others)

Best part about this show is it brings out all the low IQ, try hard critics and writers.

There's always renting a place for the holidays.

Sneakers or boots for daily wear.

My Hoka shoes are nearly worn out in 7 months already.

Say it with me: "Shoes are a consumable item like car tires." They're another expense like medicine or groceries. Get used to it.

Yelling and crying is a high schooler's idea of good acting for their final test in HS acting class.

[Anime, General] When Dubbers Get In Their Bag.

I'm too lazy to read. I'm here to enjoy animation and story. The "the acting is better in Japanese" is off the scale cringe because 99% of them don't speak Japanese. I suspect they think loud, dramatic acting is good acting.

I played Ghost Of Tsushima in Japanese because it felt awesome getting lost in a historical Japanese fiction. But anime? I'm watching a cartoon about superpowered teenagers punching each other.

Vintage Swing-A-Way Can Openers

BuyItForLife users once again amazed by metal objects with few moving parts lasting a long time.

  • A metal Stanley mug.
  • A metal ice cream scoop.
  • A metal folding knife.
  • A metal cooking skillet.

What next?

is a waste of money and space

LMAO. What part of "it's not about the games" don't you get, buddy? It's not hard to understand. Why have a painting in your home when you can have a JPEG on your computer? Is it making more sense to you now?

Help!
 in  r/hoarding  5d ago

  • Give yourself permission to buy it again.
  • 99% of things can be bought again.
  • "But I wasted money on it." You're also wasting your home space and mental health.
  • Most things are not that expensive.
  • You bought a house, not a warehouse.
  • If you have an apartment, what's the rent per square foot? Everything in your apartment better be worth the price per square foot you're paying.

Most animal inspired humanoid designs are lame and generic, and I wish they were explored better.
 in  r/CharacterRant  6d ago

Go to r/kemonomimi, or go play any popular gatcha game, go check out some anime, or just search up catgirls on google, and you will see this design trope that pisses me off so much.

Buddy, can you stop and think for 2 seconds why these designs are like this? Because they're popular. They sell. They make money. They're edible to most customers.

I have never really seen such things in fiction.

"Wahhh, why isn't mainstream entertainment catering to MY specific tastes?!"

Why don't you go find creators who are catering to your tastes? This is like hearing someone complain about pop music when there's a world of indie music out there.

People really shouldn't be taking the word of the author as seriously as they should.
 in  r/CharacterRant  6d ago

I'd love to see the people who circle jerk about "Death Of The Author" and apply it to Kanye or Louis CK or Kevin Spacey. There's probably a lot of overlap between people who can't apply "Death Of The Author" and parasocial relationships.

What are your essentials and then what are your comfort items?

Snow blower. I ain't shoveling all that crap. It's relaxing and fun to use one.

Don't ask the method, just consoom the product and then get excited for next products!
 in  r/Consoom  6d ago

For a streamer who literally makes content (even if it is just watching other people's works and playing other people's games), it's shocking he can't empathize at all with other creators.

"You think 70 dollars for a non-definitive remake is a ripoff!? Well than you're broke!"
 in  r/Consoom  6d ago

When a movie is remade, do these people expect to pay LESS to see it?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persona_3_Reload#Development

A lot went into the remake. It wasn't a half assed remaster.

If you get the chance to hike the PCT, please do it. AND LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
 in  r/PacificCrestTrail  10d ago

Thruhiking is not healthy for you. You wouldn't go the gym every day training the same muscles every day. Except you're doing exactly that on the PCT. Pounding your muscles and joints and feet for 20 miles every day.

And thruhiker diets are always trash. You can't "work it off". They studied one thruhiker's beginning and ending health and it was worse.

You either follow on the plot points you set up or you don't set them up

Hey, this might shock you, but you can't predict everything in the plot. Sometimes plot points work, sometimes they don't. I can tell you've never written anything in your life because you seem to think writing as some rigid blueprint when it's a work in progress like research and development.

ULPT when you see Pokémon scalpers buying everything up, just rob them; they can’t catch you
 in  r/UnethicalLifeProTips  10d ago

You don't even bother to address the root cause of why rent seekers exist: low supply. And who is causing the low supply? The Pokemon Company. They can absolutely 100% increase supply to match demand. They've done it before.

The only thing more pathetic than the scalpers are the scalper haters. At least the scalpers can give me an honest reason why they're doing it. You guys can't even defend why scalping is bad other than "wahhh, hurt feelings".

most comedies have some kind of plot and development

Nobody is saying R&M should just become LOL SO RANDOM like Family Guy. The show has general plot and character development like a mosaic picture but if you're gonna laser focus every little detail in a dumb comedy involving aliens and time travel and dimension hopping, maybe watch something else.

The amount of people taking seriously a comedic cartoon involving multiverse and time travel is astounding. It's not an excuse for absolutely no consistency but the writer's job is to utlimately entertain, not help fanboys pad a Wikipedia page.

He is desperate for Rick's companionship and approval, obsessing over him and stalking him during the "two crows" arc. He screws up and causes multiple disasters due to his poor judgement, clumsiness, uncontrollable horniness, or desperate need to be liked and seen as a "good guy" - which he isn't really, as proven by his actions when he gets his time-reset remote.

So you're telling me this character, a teenager in a very dysfunctional situation, isn't acting totally logically and rationally in every single situation? Say it ain't so.
