I picked up an Crealty Ender V3 SE about a week ago, and honestly it's been great. I've printed some nice, and some quite detailed parts without any issue.
I've noticed today though that when printing it's been catching and dragging the initial outline it puts down for the brim or skirt (I think) and it just creates a mess, which I then cancel.
I have levelled the bed, as it has auto levelling, everything comes back green, and some spots are even perfectly level, but it was still happening.
I've just set something to print a few minutes ago (same model which was failing over and over again) and the only changes were to increase the heated bed from 60 to 80 and the PLA from 200 to 225 (max). I also read to print nearer the edge, so I've dragged the model nearer the front edge of the bed.
The printer seems to work perfectly just as long as it's able to make the initial outline of the shape.
Is there something else I should be doing?
- I've tightened the bed screws.
- I've made sure the gantry is square on each corner.
- I've checked the bar the extruder is on, which is also level.
- The bed itself is also level.
- I level the bed after each print via the auto levelling.
The print itself is setting a z-axis of about -2.47 (iirc).
Am I better off to follow one of those videos that use a piece of paper or is it possible it was just down to the PLA cooling too quickly before being able to adhere to the bed?
Appreciate any help.
Thanks.
