Experience I refused to attend a truancy hearing because it related to the time I took off school when I lost my parents and brother in a car crash AMA.

Exactly a year ago today (posting this on April 6th 2025)I lost my parents and brother when our car was in a crash. I was injured in the crash and the funerals had to be postponed until I got out of hospital. This resulted in me being off school for four weeks.Afew months later I was summoned to attend a truancy hearing for the four weeks I was away from school.I refused point blank to attend because on principle I was not going to attend a hearing which treated time I took off to grieve the loss of my family as truancy. On the day of the hearing I barricaded myself in my room and didn’t come out until the time of the hearing had come and gone. I have thought about whether I should have just attended but I am satisfied in my own mind that I was right to refuse to cooperate with such evil.AMA.

My legal name is ‘John Doe’, ask me anything

Basically John Doe is the universal name applied to all people who are murdered/anonymous and their identity cannot be confirmed. Everyone thinks my ID is fake all the time

So I’m not too worried about my legal name being on the internet because it is super hard to trace me anywhere. But this is my legal name, I do plan on changing my legal name soon enough because it is INSANELY annoying and difficult to be named John Doe but here I am. Ask me Anything.

Experience I am 27 and I have recurrent unavoidable thoughts of being pregnant. I had PCOS diagnosed 3 years back. AMA

Upvotes

Google says, it's my body suggesting that it's a good time to be pregnant. Or could be symptoms of hormonal changes due to pcos. But my periods are regular and no other symptoms of pcos. I haven't done follow up but I have been eating healthy. I badly wants to have a baby and I read so many women feel the same at certain age.

Random Story I'm friends with the guy who tried to contact the North Sentinel tribe -- AMA

I went to highschool and college with him. I've been seeing a lot of incorrect or half true things and I think there's some value in clearing up who he is. I'll be answering throughout the day as I'm work, so every 1-2 hours I should be able to bang off some responses. AMA!

Edit: Reddit marked this as closed, but I'll respond to any further comments regardless.

Job I’m an L&D nurse with 10 years experience… ask me anything!

I’m currently trying to convince my 2 month old baby to sleep in his bed, so I thought I’d do this to keep me entertained lol

I’ll have to alter stories slightly to make sure there’s no HIPAA issues, but ask me anything and I’ll answer the best I can :)

ETA— I got my baby to sleep in his bed so I’m gonna try to sleep before he wakes up to eat again! I’ll answer any other questions when I’m up with him :)

When I was 17, I was riding my dirt bike and tried to do a pretty big jump. I landed too hard and my testicles smashed into the seat and ruptured. They had to be removed. But I ended up getting silicone testicular implants later on.
