Posts being removed that announce public gatherings

Why? Today there is a public gathering at the Civic Plaza at 2pm. People have been trying to announce it on this sub, only to have the announcements removed because the event is political in nature. Is this a new subreddit rule?

Edit: This is the post that was removed. NOTE: I just now added the red line to the word pr*t*est just in case that terrible word triggers the bots.

Second Edit: The image was deleted again. Let's try this again.

Yeah, man. Anytime I use the word fascist or fascism my posts get dinged and I get a message saying I’m being inappropriate. I’m not calling anyone a fascist, just talking about it. Bunch of MAGA snowflakes over there at the NM sub.

It's been going on for about the past month. Shadow bans is what they're called and its one of the ways Trumpism is working to keep us from organizing. People are getting around it by slightly misspelling words or replacing some letters with numbers, or even using different words all together, such as using 47 to refer to Trump, or trumpet to refer to the Trump team, etc.

Yup. Been shadowbanned on several subs including r/newmexico.

Usually for the words christofascist or kkkristians. Gets me banned for uncivil comments or shadowbanned with no explanation.

It’s when you have been banned, but, mods can/must manually approve your posts or comments to be seen.

You aren’t informed and your comment can be seen by you, but, no one else.

Hence “shadow” banned.
