Hell yeah! I wanted to see how they cleaned up that last rather greedy pull.

Serious, do those trucks have back up cameras yet?

Itโ€™s sped up.

Everyone is going on about how satisfying this is, meanwhile my nerves are sparking everytime cause it looks like the truck stops on the last second before hitting them. Like bro give him and us a few feet at least lol

I bet this is what Prison Chain Gangs used to do.

Why do I love this stuff?

Great teamwork

K, now why does it take the crew in my neighborhood 2 years to do this?

I've operated track-hoes before and been around them most of my life and have never seen anyone dig a ditch like that. That was beautiful!!

Yea its amazing what a difference the "right" tool for the job will do.... I live in a rural area but the parish (same as county) is definitely one of the wealthier parishes in the state and I always see them cleaning and digging ditches with a regular excavator... I wonder how much faster it would be with this.

Why are they digging a trench? For what? Rain water? I really do t know. Thx! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Yeah drainage/water retention, lots of reasons. An interesting side effect of this is that taller grasses will grow on either side of the ditch and the water at the bottom of the ditch will be retained longer therefore the vegetation and insect life on that side of the road will grow very lush

Glad we took care of that mud puddle.

On to the next emergency!

Amazing video.

Theyโ€™re man made? :(

2

u/Kind_Code_4118 3d ago

Drainage ditches? Yes they are man made, and sometimes they have to put tubes under the road in order to equalize the water on both sides. It can be quite an ordeal to maintain

WWI generals would have killed to have such a machine. Neat stuff here.

WWIII, and we are still in need of these, rn

I was waiting for the flash and a puff of smoke!

1

u/King_Ethelstan 3d ago

Nice, but I've always wondered what those trenches are for ?

1

u/RagnarMargus 3d ago

I would assume it's safe to say "Water". Reasoning: less water on road equal safer road

I'm lost in this I got really high!! Lmao ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Great music from German band, Modern Talking, "you can win if you want"

If you guys really like this stuff, go watch Andrew Camarata build one of these buckets and use it. https://youtu.be/LVBdCeK3zl0?si=vKHwxcVz4SVdHId6

That was fun. Also, that dog looks like he's living his best life.

u/Isaw11 3d ago

How much to rent that for ten minutes?

1

u/cash8888 3d ago

I like the little nudge they give the grass

1

u/Chemical_Peach_5500 3d ago

More like a ditch, very satisfying to watch with choice of music ๐ŸŽถ

u/WarlockFortunate 3d ago

I just had 3 electricians hand digging a 30โ€™ trench in the rain and this video makes me sad nowย

Nothing compares to watching pros kill it in their craft

Now what will Nikola Tesla do?

u/Slave_Vixen 3d ago

How is a machine doing what it was intended to do anywhere near โ€œamazingโ€?? ๐Ÿ™„

Imagine being a mole or worm and suddenly being scooped up

1

u/superlativedave 2d ago

Why does the dump keep pulling forward a little bit each time before pulling back?

1

u/king_john651 1d ago

Truck is in the way of the boom for the way it's doing it's job. Also, despite the camera angle, guy in the digger likely can't see either

1

u/BeerBellySanta 2d ago

Interesting there are no municipal utilities within that easement. Granted the settings looks like itโ€™s across the pond, still interesting.

u/Sufficient-Status951 2d ago

First day on the job?

1

u/F1_Fidster 2d ago

Appreciating the in sync neatness as the trailer then moves back to allow any spillovers to be gathered and tidied from the previous scoop.

u/beebeelion 2d ago

This is incredible team work.
