Fan Works Yeerk Casing/Battle Armor Lore/World-building: Based on Ray Cusick Dalek Redesign

I recently made a post about Dalek redesigns and realized that the Ray Cusick reimagining of the Dalek casing would make for a good Yeerk Casing/Battle Armor.

The aesthetic fits more with Animorphs than Doctor who, fitting as this design is early 90s. The odd shape and parts would work in universe and be no stranger than the other aliens.

Lore-wise, the Yeerks are limited by how many hosts they have. Having a casing that allows for mobilization would be a boon, especially if it has Kandrona Rays and other life support.

Combat-wise, this makes the Yeerks more dangerous than ever. Two Dracon Beam weapons for range and the claw arm for close combat.

The greatest tool would be the whips to counter Andalite tail blades. Deflecting strikes or ensnaring them. If sharp like piano wire, they could even tear them off.

The sensors could also counter the Chee disguises. Something I don’t think they ever figured out in the books.

Lastly, it adds a parellel to the eventual meeting of the Yeerks and the Iskoort: one choose technology and the other bioengineering.

Visser One: "I can hear you salivating."
Visser Three: <I don't even have a mouth right now!>
Visser One: "Yes, which is why it's very disturbing that I can hear you salivating."
Visser Three: <Oh *come on,* Edriss, you've got to admit that this is brilliant.>
Visser One: "We are a race of parasites who's greatest strength is our ability to control other species and act covertly, and you want us to have battle armor? Why? It's not like you'd ever use it, you've got that Andalite body!"
Visser Three: <Imagine how *cool* it would be! I step out onto the battlefield, and then *hundreds* of these things swarm around me and charge in the direction I point while I start morphing!>
Visser One: "The Empire shouldn't make decisions based on what's 'cool'."
Visser Three: <I *vehemently* disagree.>
Visser One: "I am not approving funding!"
Visser Three: <I *very much* am!>
Visser One: "Then we're at an impasse!"
Visser Five: "...um...I'm here too...it's a three-person panel..."
Vissers One & Three: "<SHUT UP!>"
Visser Five: "...I'm going back to Nahara."

It would be interesting to see some limitations on this that would make parasitic behavior preferable to a self-interested Yeerk.

Like maybe something similar to Ketrans having to dock to manually fly/lift their crystal, it takes... say... 100 yeerks to provide some sort of bio-energy to power the casing, but only 1 yeerk can be in true command of the casing at any given time.

Each unit would be like a giant ship, then. One captain and many crew.

Going off of the Daleks being integrated into their casings, maybe they could even make it so just one Yeerk is needed.

I don't think I've ever seen a Dalek inside its casing before.

It’s happened a few times, but the earliest depictions are mostly lost.

Power of the Daleks: Dalek Mutants are scooped out of breeding tanks and placed in the skirt section of the casings. They resemble a blob of flesh.

Evil of the Daleks: Daleks with their domes blown off bubble up as a writhing mass of flesh.

After these we have all the footage.

The Daleks: Not in casing, but we see a clawed limb reach out from under an insulated cape after being removed.

Genesis of the Daleks: Embryonic Daleks from a breeding tank attack and try to strangle the Doctor.

Destiny of the Daleks: A faction of Daleks become machine based and discard their flesh bodies. The doctor finds a putty like body.

The Five Doctors: The most prominent Classic Series example. A blast is reflected back and blows a Dalek wide open. The mutant is a green mass of flesh with many waving tentacles making hissing sounds until it dies.

Resurrection of the Daleks: Daleks get blown open revealing green blobs with tendrils. A mutant survives its casing going out a window and kills a soldier with strangulation and a toxic bite.

Revelation of the Daleks: A human’s severed head is in the process of being converted into a Dalek.

Remembrance of the Daleks: We see the flesh fragments of a destroyed Renegade Dalek. The Imperial Daleks have cybernetics integrated and stitched on limbs which we see during a teleportation and when one has its upper neck and dome blown off.

Dalek: The Metaltron/Last Dalek reveals itself at the end to be in a ray of sunlight.

Parting of the Ways: The Dalek God-Emperor’s form is suspended in a transparent section of its massive casing.

Evolution of the Daleks: Dalek Sec opens its casing to consume a man to evolve.

The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End: Dalek Caan is fully exposed in its ruined casing.

Asylum of the Daleks: The Dalek Prime Minister is fully exposed in its casing.

Day of the Doctor: The War Doctor’s Tardis smashes through Daleks and sends mutants flying.

Into the Dalek: We see Rusty in its casing.

Resolution of the Daleks: The Scout Dalek puppeteers people from their spines.

Revolution of the Daleks: Scout Dalek clones teleport in shells and puppeteer people.

Power of the Doctor: A rouge Dalek is forced to open its casing and then exterminated.

I mean that seems easy: no sense of touch, no sense of taste, no sense of smell (I.e., getting rid of the Yeerk’s one actually good sense)…

I mean, Visser Three already talks like a Dalek.
