How To Make A Good Post
- For a chart reading, preferably use astro-seek (recommended due to being tailored for this subreddit) or astro.com. Other sites (like cafeastrology) either are inaccurate or don't include pertinent information like the planets, degrees or house cusps.
- Download and upload the chart either to reddit or an image host like imgur.
- Then make the post. A link post should be sufficient. Just include a title and a link to the image. If you wish to add more info, make a text post. Add a title, add a link to the image in the text field and add whatever else you wish there. A good post should include all the relevant info, like your birth time for example.

Frequently Asked Questions

What career is best for me? What kind of partner should I look for? Which major should I choose? Rather than asking those questions directly, here’s a simple way to inquire after specific areas of life like career, relationships, higher education, family life, and anything else you can think of:
- Find the house that rules the topic in question. Here’s a list of house rulerships to help you out.
- Look at the planets which occupy the house in question. Planets in the house in question will have something to do with that area of life. For example, if Mars is located in the 7th house, there will be something martial about your relationships.
- Find the planet that rules the house in question. The planetary ruler of a house is in charge of that area of life, and has the final say in the affairs of the house. For example, if Venus rules your 7th house, Venus is in charge of producing and managing your partnerships and relationships, as well as telling planets in your 7th house what to do. Find out everything you can about the planet that rules the house, starting with sign placement (essential dignity) and house placement. For example, if Venus rules your 7th house from her domicile or exaltation, she’s better equipped to produce relationships; if Venus rules your 7th house from her detriment or fall, she tries her best to produce relationships but doesn’t have as many tools at her disposal. Additionally, the house Venus occupies is linked to the houses she rules. For example, if Venus rules your 7th house but is placed in the 9th, the 7th and 9th house topics are linked. This could mean that you meet your partner (7th house) in a foreign country or in college (9th house topics), or that you experience a long distance relationship.
This should give you a good starting point if you want to ask a question about a house specific topic. Please do this legwork first so we can help you further.
What’s my dominant sign?/A website told me I was Libra dominant but I that doesn’t make sense to me.
- There are some popular scoring systems that numerically measure your placements to produce a “dominant sign”. While these can be entertaining, they aren’t very valuable if you want to really understand your chart and most professionals don’t look at charts this way anyway. Signs aren’t dominant, because they’re simply environments for planets to occupy. If anything is dominant in your chart, it’s a planet. Check out the planet that rules your ascendant first by sign (essential dignity, house, and aspects from other planets. Next, look at which planet is the most dignified in your chart (essentially dignified and/or angular). These two options will give you a better idea of the dominant energy in your chart.
Why doesn't my sun sign sound anything like me?
- There is much more to astrology than just sun signs. Everyone has every sign in their chart, balanced and emphasized in a unique way. Each planet signifies something specific, and each planet is in a sign, just like the Sun (which determines your "sun sign"). You might be a Pisces, but if you have a strongly placed Mars in Aries, chances are you might feel more like a warrior than a sensitive artist!
How do I figure out what my chart says about me?
- The time of day you were born has a huge impact on your birth chart. If possible, find your birth certificate and use the recorded birth time in all your astrology ventures. Word of mouth and family memory is notoriously unreliable, so do your best to find accurate information yourself! If you don't have an accurate birth time, focus more on planets in signs and aspects between planets, and don't worry about houses for now.
My sidereal sign/chart is totally different. How do I know which one to use?
- The tropical and sidereal zodiacs are simply two different systems used in two different traditions of astrology. Neither one is better or more correct, but you’ll tend to find more about the tropical/western astrology online. Here’s a good visual representation of the differences between the zodiacs, and here’s a good podcast on the differences between the tropical and sidereal zodiacs, who uses which zodiac, and common debates surrounding the topic.

Reading Hey I’ve been having a difficult time with life lately if there is any advice/ things to look forward to lmk <3
For some additional context: I’ve been feeling quite burnt out as it is the end of my semester where I’ve been dealing with difficult teacher whose class I am going to fail. I had a rough weekend with my partner where our communication was so unaligned that we both needed to take time apart to regulate (I understand this is healthy but it is unusual as we typically talk things out together). I have also been having a hard time getting into a consistant social routine and I worry when I’ll start to have regular hangouts with friends again. I am mainly wondering what transits are causing these issues and when I can expect for things to feel steady. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond :)

Reading Rough year/April so far: Fired on April Fool's Day, Interviewer didn't show up, spending too much money, and Financially Struggling - Will it get better?
Hi everyone, I (26F) posted my transit chart, and I hope it's the correct one. I just posted a second transit chart with a different birth time just in case, which would make me a Taurus Rising, but I am pretty sure I am an Aries Rising (first image). If you can, please read the first chart.
Anyways, I got fired for the first time ever on April Fools Day. It was a part-time marketing job and I made very little ($300 a week), which is insanely difficult to live on in a VHCOL city. I live at home and honestly like to spend money on activities with friends (which I can't do anymore), but I was still grateful to have that job.
I have been applying to marketing and retail jobs all year (85 so far) to very little luck. I get some interviews but get rejected. Last week, I suddenly had 2-4 interviews but got a rejection yesterday. In addition to yesterday's events, I got stood up for an in person interview for a restaurant which was very disheartening. I also found out that I have fibroids (health condition), which would cost me money for medication and transportation to medical appointments. Will I get lucky and find a good or decent paying job (preferably in marketing/communications/social media) any time this year? Are my events more aligned with Aries or Taurus risings?
I am $20,000 in school debt and feel terrible for applying to minimum wage jobs, but I want to help my little brother and parents out. I read a lot of Aries horoscopes saying that I would make some money or expect to get a job in March or April, which I am not feeling optimistic anymore. My luck is quite down, and I am scared things will get worse, financially and health wise for myself and family.
In addition, I am thinking about returning to an old job this Spring/Summer, and am wondering if that's advisable? It was a VERY miserable time and I am worried that the bosses will not like me and try to get retaliate against me because I left abruptly for medical reasons. The only reason I can return is because they legally have to accept me back.
I've got lots of Aries transits and there are going to be lots of Aries transits this year, so maybe I'll just have a rough year?
Thank you for reading my mangled mess. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Reading What can you say about me and friendships based off my chart?
R is my relocated chart. I moved overseas 4 years back, and haven’t yet made any close friends in the new location. Just a bunch of acquaintances. Will that change?

Reading I've always felt unfulfilled in my professional career any insights on why this is would be appreciated.
Even though I'm in a career I love now. I still feel undeserving. I feel like I've been battling with imposter syndrome my whole life.

Reading Regressing After The Highest Point of My Life
I had a bad relationship end late January. It brought me to the lowest point of my life. Then, a month after said breakup, I reemerged Phoenix like to a state higher than I’d ever been. I do have bipolar and had a manic psychotic episode; I believe this was due to my elation in finally not self hating and finally wanting to live.
In the past week I’ve noticed this high slowly tapering. I take it to be a part of my healing process since I cannot integrate the inhaled parts of me if I believe that by some miracle they have vanished. I know I must still work through them. I also believe in manifesting and although I’m well on my way to the doldrums, I do believe I manifested the extremely good news I received today.
Anyway does anything in my chart suggest this sudden gloom and what I can only imagine to be a touching base with reality? What’s in store for me?

Reading Why am I always embarrassed and out of place — How do I find my community that I can get myself accepted?
I always get into situations I get to be embarrassed, out of place like not fitting in. Its easier to understand when I was still a student but now as an adult even at work places. I wouldnt say its about how I look to be fair I like how I look although Im more on the side of having that ‘fierce’ look.
But will I ever find like my place/community/people where I can thrive and not be awkward, embarrassed , left out? Are there and indications in my chart how I can find where I would best thrive or meet people I can best get along with?

Reading I'm shocked to get my birth time and find out there's not much Gemini. I thought for sure I had Gemini moon at minimum and possibly rising. I think I embody the qualities of Gemini energy, the good and bad, so I'm just wondering if there's an obvious explanation

Reading Are there any astrological explanations for why i’m susceptible to stalking/being on the receiving end of parasocial behavior on social media?
it’s never been my intention to have a large social media presence in the communities i associate with, but time and time again, i’ve found myself in positions where i’m being perceived by many people, resulting in stalking and other jealous behaviors, or on the more positive (?) side of the spectrum, being on the receiving end of an almost parasocial bond where i feel almost forced to share my energy with others despite wanting to remain in a small bubble.
i was wondering if there was anything in my chart that could reveal why this happens frequently and if there’s anything i can do to protect my boundaries better.
thank you!

Reading Someone more experienced than me
I have such bad luck with social media (social stuff in general). Can someone help me figure out if there’s something I need to work through on here? I would think that having my MC in Gemini would be helpful.
