Memes/Humor My goddaughter had the best reaction to my diagnosis

I love telling other people about my goddaughter's reaction when I told her I was autistic. She has always been attached to me, to the point where they think she is my daughter and I am the stupid godmother who does what she wants. When I told him I was worried about the reaction, she was six years old, I told her very carefully that I'm different and explained, she responded with exactly that: "So what? It doesn't change anything" it was the most sincere reaction and after that every family meeting where I needed to isolate myself and someone made a negative comment she would start a fight to defend me. She is literally the best person I know and I learned from a six-year-old child that not to change anything, I continue to be the godmother who does everything for her. 🤣

My 8 year old son reacted with "oh cool, then you can participate in the Paralympics". Always enjoyed that.

She is one of my best friends and the best part is knowing that she trusts me to talk about her interests without being judged because she loves writing and the stories are 3 times more horror than Stephen King. You know the proud moment of loving being the safe person for her, I lost a brother and she is my cure. Another thing I learned from her is not to accept bullying, I'm impressed by her maturity. About two weeks ago she told me: if I didn't ask for an opinion, what people say doesn't interest me, the only person I only care about is that my cats like me, the rest I ignore. I feel such great relief because I have suffered so much. The time at school and I'm very proud of it.

You seem like a good adult for a kid to have around. Be proud of yourself!

You made me cry but for good reason, I try to be the best godmother possible, the one who catches her attention but also welcomes her every day and the godmother she asks to tell her mother that she deserves an iPad to do her activities better 😅 my cousin who has been her mother for a few days said that she is my copy and that made me welcome her even more because I wish I had someone who would listen to me at that age. Thank you very much, you made my day.
