Just think how much quicker he could’ve finished if he wasn’t walking somewhere he had to contend with stoplights and traffic.

There’s always that one person that will tell you how you could have done it better

That's not what he said

not better, just saying it could have been done quicker, surely even more so if it was a flat piece of ground with no elevation, but then that wouldnt have been fun to watch.

I walked 42k one day, ruined me

Honestly in NYC you can pretty much walk non-stop. If, for example, you are heading north and the north bound walk sign is red, just cross the street and by the time you do, the north bound walk sign will be green. Or as in like 75% of the time just wait 3 seconds and you can cross anyway bc no cars are coming.

The guy just needed to keep walking all day so this probably wasn't a problem for him.

Someone’s never been to NYC. At least not to the vast majority of its non-touristy destinations. I’d say 95% of his intersections he wouldn’t get stopped by traffic (apart from maybe a brief slowdown for one car), and certainly not stoplights.

No it isn't. Shit like this is an incredible feat of endurance; winner is usually a few hours under 24. It's sad that people think walking 80 km in a day on flat pavement is impressive. It sounds more boring than anything else.

you go walk 100,000 steps in 16 hours then say it isn't

I’ve done more than 80km in far less than 16 hours.
