This looks intense... but imagine 400 years ago going across the Atlantic on a wooden ship not knowing when you'd be on land again.

They were essentially exposed the entire time. 10 u/rcrux 3d ago Makes you realise why they often settled in the new place rather than go back and risk the journey twice. Some of those guys did multiple long journeys and somehow navigated their way back home, crazy!
