I'm up in white rock and joined this sub when the takedown occurred to see if the promise of his return would happen and I love this. We had a blue towel that got stuck on a pileing at the end of our pier and it gained quite the fan club here as it lasted through a couple wind storms, sadly blue towel is gone now.

The name of your town makes me smile, snicker, laugh, depending on my mood. Named after a large white rock that could be seen from Semiahmoo. Well, the rock isn’t white quartz ( yes, now it’s painted) so what would have made it white long long ago……. The answer has to be bird shit. So you live in the city of bird shit rock!

Driving back up from SeaTac shortly and that'll be the perfect way for me to be welcomed back into town

Assuming it’s still in the same place, it’s in the tree above the
Bellingham 9
Vancouver 64sign on the northbound direction just NE of lake samish. Approximate coordinates are
(48.6658455, -122.3722636)

Saw a car and some people pulled over there last night and thought that was what they were up to.

Love it, but they’re just going to waste even more time and money removing it again.

And it will be put back up, time and time again. It's causing no harm, WSDOT is the one deciding to waste money.

Giant Sloth.
It’s not what we asked for, but it’s what we need.
The Universe (and an arborist) has once again provided.
There are many lessons to be learned from that slow moving Sloth.
First and foremost is slow but measured reaction to a changing society.
When one or a few things create chaos, designed for hyper reaction, sometimes, the best response is slow and deliberate.
Buy local, get to know your neighbors, stay calm when all around you seems to demand fast action. Think before you react. Don’t believe the hype.

The sloth is back and the skies are bright ☀️ A fuzzy beacon, pure delight 😀 High above the traffic flow, It teaches all of us to slow…………..

WSDOT under estimated the resiliency of the local wildlife.
