Ya'll are amazing. I'm so damn impressed by Bitcoin
Bitcoin is my go-to investment. I have loved it since I first bought 5 for $10 and sold them for $15 way back, and I've also bought bitcoins for other reasons that expanded my mind years ago. Nowadays, I'm actually buying and holding bitcoin, which is what I have always should have done. I bought half a bitcoin the other day at a higher price than I could have but I don't give a damn, I will hold onto it forever, and every time I get paid I'm putting a decent amount of my paycheck into bitcoin.
Bitcoin is so damn resilient, 1/1.
and if we go by value My portfolio which is mostly bitcoin has been very resilient during the recent chaos, meanwhile my gf who mainly does large caps/big tech and has a way larger value portfolio has absolutely bled due to the tariffs. Seriously thank you for encouraging me to invest in what I always thought was the best investment. Ya'll are legends and way ahead of everyone.

Way back... Way way back I had a miner contact me asking if I would buy 500 bitcoin for $1000... This was in the early days, and the truth of it was the bitcoin was worth about a dollar each. Also unfortunately the chance of that having been a total scam that would've simply took my thousand and left me with nothing, coupled with the fact that I knew very little of bitcoin scared me away.
I do wish I had checked further into it then, I didn't buy into bitcoin until it was in the $5000-$8000 range but who is to say... Early adopters sure they can get very rich, but they could've also lost it all, such a big gamble.
Today we all know, bitcoin is here to stay.

Understanding Bitcoin well makes it very difficult to consider other forms of investments!

any idea what just happened? Btc just dropped by about $600 in 20 minutes

Weekend dips happen due to lighter volume. That said this is within the standard volatility range.

I'm watching the orderbooks, it's surprisingly decent volume right now. Either way, $600 isn't anything and weekend trading rarely means anything. In all my years, i've only seen maybe a dozen times when weekend price action is anything significant.

If you can't handle a 0.5% drop, you need to stay away from crypto. You'll off yourself when it drops 10%

for real dude. this is the facts. bitcoin has 20% variance/spread within range even in bull markets. these are little volatility. most of the lows of bear cycles have never been touched again.

the healthiest way to go about it is to stop checking the price. most people can't though, and it took me years to be able to.

Iâve increasingly seen Bitcoin as the hard money itself and not an investment vehicle for fiat

you are awesome. I learned so much from these experiences about myself and the world, changed my music tastes completely and I appreciate nature so much it's ridiculous.

Damn bro, props for sticking to your gut. Youâve been ridinâ with Bitcoin since day one, and now itâs payinâ off - thatâs sick. Not everyoneâs got the balls to hold like that, especially when trad markets be bleeding. Feels good when your conviction starts to look smart as hell, huh? Keep stackinâ, youâre doinâ it right

Downvoted for saying to slow your roll and sure enough down 8% and heading lowerâŚI still believe in it but when recessions hit there is nothing safe

I've been here since it was around $400 and it keeps blowing my mind over and over again. It's gone from speculative to a staple for me. I first bought it for fun because it seemed like a perfect asset, but doubted it would really catch on. The CME futures release got me thinking it was less speculative, now with the ETFs and everything else going on, it has became almost my entire portfolio.
