Exhaust Slow acceleration. Exhaust leak?

My 2004 Volvo xc90 has a know exhaust leak, and sometimes, after coming to a full stop the car does not want to accelerate (or at least not very quickly). Sometimes while accelerating, the car also kicks or jerks. Was wondering if these problem could be caused simply by the exhaust leak or if there might be another issue. Any advice helps!

Get the car looked at. Do you know where the exhaust leak is? I owned a car that ended up having a bad O2 sensor. This caused the engine run far too rich and clogged the catalytic converter which blew the flex pipe and caused an exhaust leak. The car started driving very sluggishly later. Very expensive fix and dangerous because the exhaust leak was in the front, meaning exhaust could come into the cabin.

Is the “known” exhaust leak because you hear a hissing? Your cat is probably clogged.
