vet said brushing will make her less itchy, but did not disclose it would make her more bitey

notice she’s not really biting me, just expressing her displeasure. if she wanted to she could have run off at any time 🏃‍♀️

edit: Mika gets overstimulated super easily which is why brushes don’t work. The vet recommended this comb bc it doesn’t touch her skin. She gets overstimulated by long strokes and doesn’t like her back touched, so she recommended I stick to short strokes in permissible areas. She did not know there are NO permissible areas for brushing‼️

Ah yes, the ancient formula:

Less itchy = more bitey

Here we can see the theory being put into action. (Edit:spelling)

My vet would say this is 100% calico behavior. I say that as a momma to a calico angel.

I don't know if your cat would be down, but my cat likes this brush that has silicone nubs and uses mist to get the hair to stick to it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPDRJ3X6

That is a comb & what appears to be the most annoying technique ever...I want to bite you just looking at it. Lol (Edit to include the obvious but missing "lol") There are wet/dry human detangling brushes that are perfectly cat cranium shaped, lol, & a mix of bristles rubber coated plastic balls on tall spines & shorter brush style ones as well. But the brush stroke followed by palm rub hair/fur smoothing technique they love. Like old school Happy Days Fonz brush then smooth, brush then smooth 1 to 1 ratio . Combs are too sharp & scratchy.

omgosh that is a huge link & it was just to give you the idea of the shape.

Edit to include the forgotten "lol" that should have been obvious in it's implication! No idea what the down arrow echo chamber is about offering a suggestion about technique & tool that I have had positive results.
Apologies if OP was simply making a funny video & did not want to hear other options that have worked for other cats.
