This logo is 100 times better than the winged G logo and it also conveys what a guardian is. Plus it looks super clean imo.

One thing is for sure, Cleveland and the West Coast don't necessarily mix well. After crushing the Angels on Friday night into the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, the Guards dropped a stinker last night.
All was going well until the 5th inning. Yes, we know that Tanner gave up 2 HRs in the 1st, but by the 5th inning he was missing his spots. By the end of the 5th inning they had put up 7 runs against us.
Tanner missed his location on the Trout HR. Still the game was manageable at that point. A 2 run deficit isn't the end of the world. But then he missed his location on his new sinker.. and Logan O'Hoppe didn't miss it.
Since we tend to back up opinions with stats, I've included his pitch movement scatter chart. As you can see, the orange indicator is all over the board. Comparing that with other innings, they were tightly grouped together. The 5th inning was poo-poo on a platter and there wasn't really anything that could be done about it.
Vogt didn't have anyone warming up because Bibee is our ace. By the time he gave up that run to Trout, he stopped using his Cutter, and went to his Sinker. But at that point they smelled the blood in the water.
Usually his Sinker is a good pitch, but for some reason he couldn't locate it. And since he couldn't establish his 4SFB early in the counts, he had to rely on his new pitch(which he is still learning to locate) and it was hammered.
Personally I'm not as worried about our rotation as some of the fans are. Some would say that the "chemistry" is off. Some would argue we "miss" players. These are professional baseball players, they get paid to do a job and at the end of the day they know they are the cogs that keep the business running.
There is no such thing as a player performing like boo-boo just to get sympathy. They are all trying to get the best financial situation that they can, and will play to 100 percent of their abilities. So while some fans miss certain players, I can assure you that other than a friendship, they don't. It's a professional atmosphere and feelings don't really get in the way of performance.
Back to this game.. after the 5th meltdown, Tanner was lifted for STIX. Things went from bad to worse. He walked 4, and was having issues with not only his arm slot, but his release point as well. Lots of data on Statcast to digest, but after all was said and done his stat line only had him at 3ER.
Tanner had used his Sinker in the 3rd inning to get Mike Trout out swinging, and I think they just went to it too many times. You don't get many over on Trout. However, after he gave up that 2 run dinger, it went off the rails quickly, and the game went from manageable, to trying to salvage the BP for today's game.
So while it looked bad in the box score, I have faith in Tanner being able to look at the data and adjust. As for STIX, this was a humbling outing for him. After the disaster that was the 5th inning, the 6th inning went better, but it seems to me that he was rushing his pitches. One step at a time, and slower approach, and I believe he could be a formidable piece to the BP... Either that or it's going to be another short stint for him this year in Cleveland.

I just bought the theme night tickets to the game May 30 and was wondering where you go to get the special jersey? Also, how early should I get there to try and get one of the free 10,000 shirts? Thank you and Go Guards!

Im trying to split Guards tv with my buddy. The website says you can have 5 concurrent streams but that password sharing is prohibited. Do they enforce this or has anyone else had luck sharing your account? TIA!!

When I was a kid I saw the Indians play at giants stadium and dodger stadium. I got autos after the game both times, but it's been so long I can't tell who the autos are from. Can anyone identify who is who?
Fun story though, Wil Cordero actually tossed me the ball with multiple signatures on it .

Hi everyone,
I’m an avid collector and collect a ton of Cleveland stuff. I was wondering if anyone had information about sending in cards to be autographed or other ways (besides going to games) to get them? Thanks in advance.
