Prolly gonna snag this. $30 seems like a fair price for a nice little display item.

Display? Nah. I’m wearing that everywhere no matter how embarrassing.

I've got one tattooed on my middle finger already. Should I go full Paralax and rock multiple rings?

$30 is too expensive for a ring. I did get an Indigo Lantern ring for like $9 years ago when I was a kid though.

That's, definitely a Green Lantern ring. Not sure how I feel about it though? It looks, sorta off to me? I can't put my finger on it?

You’re not supposed to put your finger on it, it’s a ring. The finger goes in it…

It’s cheap and that combined with the design likely causes the actual insignia itself to lack depth and gives it a “gummy bear” aesthetic. That’s what popped out to me.
I’m sure the real one will look much better.

Reminds me of the ones they sold during rhe Ryan Reynolds movie, I still have a couple of them

I don't know if I like it having a gem in the middle of it. I get why they did it, the gem probably the part that lights up but I'd rather the ring just be the Lantern logo and the ring itself light up.

I was thinking that might be something Guy put on the ring himself. Seems like the kinda gaudy shit he’s into.

It looks cheap.

Could be one of those "it looks better in person" situations. But I agree, it looks like a cheap children's toy from the photos

Hell, I'm just glad we're actually getting a Green Lantern in live action that's not Ryan Reynolds

I think it’s the black center.

It's not black, it's an emerald.

Emerald’s are green bro. I’m talking about the black spot in the middle of the ring.

Did you actually look at the images? They're high res, you can see it's an emerald. Natural emeralds are dark green. Also you don't use an apostrophe when you pluralize a word.

Whatever color you see, that’s cool. I see black, and even if it is a dark green like you’re saying, that’s cool too. It clashes with the light green and looks out of place.
I’m pretty sure that’s what’s throwing it off.
Also, in the future, to make you happy, I’ll run all my posts through Grammarly or ChatGPT for spelling and error corrections. You know, I’ll be like you, a real stickler on the internet.
Also, I’m turning off reply notifications on here, so don’t waste your time. Can’t waste any more of mine arguing on the internet with stupid people.

He probably looked at only the first few images where it’s harder to make out the green

I like the concept of having an emerald in the middle but the overall design doesn't really do it for me UNLESS this ring is specific to Guy Gardener in which case it works because it's kinda tacky, like Guy is.

Since we're on topic, can someone explain the lore. Why is Guy Gardner a Lantern since there's Hal Jordan already. I thought there's just one Lantern per planet. That's the first question
The second question is if the ring chooses its bearer, then how come it chose Guy Gardner? Seeing how everyone calls him a douche
Didn't read the comics, so a bit confused here

I don't remember the lore answer about the multiple lanterns in Earth's sector, but the rings themselves don't necessarily search for nice people. They search for strong wills and the ability to overcome great fear. You can have that and still be a douche.

The short answer is that earth experiences an overwhelming amount of cosmic threats. Also humans apparently are kind of naturally geared for lantern Corp because of the overwhelming hubris of not being afraid of anything even though we should be.

Basically, Guy Gardner is a backup candidate, should anything happen to the primary Green Lantern, Hal Jordan.
At the time he first appeared in the comic, Gardner was much different to how he is today - he was a special needs teacher and social worker.

The metallic band reminds me a bit of the rings from the Ryan Reynolds movie.
It looks pretty cool.
