Today was a hard one me and my family lost are best friend for the last 15 years we did everything together from hunting watching movies walks going to the park everything he truly was amazing and I’m thankful for every single memory we’ve shared In the past 15 years I know he’s in a better place now and has no more pain which comforts me but it’s still hard no matter what.

My ex loves dachshunds and I tried to sneak a video for him as this cutie was going past my bus stop.

He’s a rescue and after DNA testing him he’s a big mixture of lots of different livestock guardians, small percentage wolf and somewhere down the line a brave chihuahua got involved 😂.

Either way he’s a scruffy pain in the arse but makes the house a home 🏡

• General Discussion • Devastated about having to leave my dog for college

I have a 4 yr old pug who's honestly been my best buddy since the day my family brought him home. I love that dog so damn much and the thought of leaving him for college just seems unbearable. He will still have my sister and parents who he loves very much/who love him very much, but he won't have me and I won't have him every day. I keep thinking of him looking for me when I move out, wondering where I am, thinking if he'll ever see me again, thinking I abandoned him or, worst of all, him forgetting me. The college is about 2-3 hours away from home, so I will try to visit as much as possible, but I won't be living with him anymore or see him anywhere near as much as I do now. Even if I'm not on the couch by "normal time" at night to sit with him when he goes to bed he acts confused and kind-of lost. Will me moving out really hurt him? I don't honestly even know how I'm going to do without my best friend, and worry about how he will feel, too.
