I was an overnight home delivery "milkman" for the shortlived Oberweiss Dairy incursion into North Texas. I learned quickly to keep dog treats on hand. A lot of our routes went into rural parts where opening a farm/ranch gate and driving up an 1/8 mile slag driveway with dogs on the property wasn't uncommon. At 3AM in the morning, the poopers were diligently doing their jobs. After a few visits of cracking my step-van sliding door open, throwing a handful of Ol' Roy bacon treats out, and then making my delivery, the dogs would go Pavlovian when I arrived. I even got it to where they'd wait until I made the delivery before expecting/demanding the treats.

Note: I always had the company communicate with the owners beforehand, telling what brand of treat and gaining permission to give them (in case of digestive issues, allergies, etc.).

I don't think I'd be comfortable with a stranger feeding stuff to my dog. All sorts of weirdos and psychos out there.

OTOH, my dog gobbles up those disgusting rabbit poop pellets before I can react and has been fine. So 🤷

I didn't want to say it, but yeah, same. As sweet as it is, this world has shown its dark side one to many times for me to trust someone.

Totally fair but many other people will.

The guy in the video asks permission and so should everyone else.

Didn’t someone post on here a while ago about someone dropping off snacks but had fish hooks in them? I think it was in white rock too

Trader Joe’s on Cole Ave. There’s a bench right for you to sit right in front of it. SO many people walk their dogs over there and there’s also a dog park right by it.

I work at Cold Beer Company and love that we give out treats for dogs. Theres usually a doggie or two around, and makes my day.
