Speedrunning sequels to The Jungle and Grapes of Wrath.

I fucking hate my fellow Americans.

Grapes of Wrath sounds like an incredible vape flavor 🔥

Those dumbfucks who keep on yapping about bringing job back to America reminds of online commies who dream of being an artist in a socialist commune lmao.

LMAO SO MUCH TIME TO FOCUS ON MEANINGFUL THINGS LIKE ART

and then it's this thing with the rump

u/ReachAlert3518 1d ago

I know this is a joke but tbf "art" in that sense is intended to be a practice, not a production process. The meaningful things are the practices/lifestyles. A bad product is besides the point

Then complain when their job gets replaced by a RevolvoSucker 1000 on the assembly line.

Sike we’ll just make robots do all the work, making Trumps Billionaire buddies even richer and create 0 jobs in the process because fuck you that’s why.

u/klomonster 2d ago

Realistically companies are gonna prepare for 4 more years of reduced revenue due to tariffs to then thrive in a tariff reduced world once more.

Companies that try to now on-shore to the US with an obvious dependance on tariffs for their business to work aren't gonna survive just because of robots which are also costly. Any invested money is gonna go down the drain with lifted tariffs since neither factories nor robots can be moved easily

I would mostly agree with you there. It would be absolutely insane to move manufacturing back to the US or for that matter any part of your business.

Trump doesn’t care about that though. He’s moving towards fascism at Mach 10. Nobody will want to enter a market environment where the Government can just shut you down at will, without due process. But he will support companies that are loyal.

I think Trump will simply give fat fucking subsidies to his buddies which they can then embezzle for a big part and use what is left to build up some manufacturing in the US.

As for Robots. It depends on the task they perform ofc, but for example warehouse robots are already being used in a widespread fashion and they are significantly cheaper than human workers. It’s not even comparable. Probably takes a significant set up cost which is why it will benefit large companies only. Which also aligns with Trumps wet dream of turning the US into an oligarchy so his he finally gets invited to the dictator roundtable.

It really doesn’t matter what he does though, because anything he does will fuck the vast majority of Americans in the ass. Without lube.

You mean importing them from China and Europe so the rich can have lower marginal tax rates than poor people.

3

u/SpaceRac1st 2d ago

Nah income tax won’t be necessary anymore because all these greedy foreign nations are finally paying their fair share through tariffs.

You will make trinkets for our new overlords and you will like it.

That job sucks.

Have fun working on plantations

Trump will just bring back slavery, not for black people, but for immigrants, will brand it as a path to citizenship or some shit. Only way for America to compete with other countries who use slave labor is to use it themselves.

This is a joke, I don't actually believe Trump is planning this, but with him, who the fuck knows anymore?

This seems like part of a segment - is there a full video out there? This is wild.

“Good! Those 9 year old laborers here in America can develop some character that way!” - A Trump Cultist probably

Trust me, nobody wants to work in a factory. I worked in a factory during vacations. It's not fun! You stay up at 6 oclock and work until 16 - 18 oclock. It's tiresome and boring.

I also hated cleaning the grill at McDonalds. Thank god, we had 21+ hourly wage.

No! Go to university, finish studying and get a good job! Trust me, you will be thankful. Every other job is boring as hell.

u/EWTYPurple 2d ago

Flavored copium yes ty

Seriously how is there no tool they can just use to test it? I can't imagine something like a little plastic vacuum device similar to a dropper would cost that much? I know it's china but come on

4

u/fia_enjoyer 2d ago

You would need

  • A device that activates the cartridge just as good as a human can
  • That device needs to be unmanned and reliable
  • The device needs to go a very, very long time without needing repairs
  • Cleaning has to be minimal

I'm sure there are even more rules that would be needed but just consider that. All the employer currently needs, is to find someone destitute enough to get paid a really bad wage to do the reporting for them in place of that. No need for development, no need for machine maintenance, no need for a cleaning crew for said machine, no need for anything but someone they can exploit and never interact with.

Human labor is scarily efficient and reliable, and if you don't have much of a conscience, it's often the "best" tool for the job. The only downtime is death, illness, and injury - and humans get replaced everyday by other humans with no difference to the operational cost for those reasons. Especially in settings like this factory where a horde of poor people always exist to be exploited.

God what an awful life.

Everyone dreams for their kid to have this job. Real work that built America. Better than getting brainwashed at college then pushing papers behind a desk.

1

u/drgaz 1d ago

I am sure some kid in rural Mississippi can't wait to start stitching clothes for 500 bucks a year.

1

u/JusticeOfSuffering 1d ago

I get where you're coming from but also you can't just export all the simple jobs from a country and leave only college jobs

Half the population isn't smart enough to finish college, they need simple jobs

1

u/Imperades 1d ago

Lmao this is how we beat AI guys come on
