Iām assuming itās so they can pick the factory up and move it to Detroit right?

They're just going to wait until we annex Windsor and then restart production.

Turns out they werenāt lazy songwriters, they were just prophets from the distant future.

Imagine every Windsor resident finding out they're losing their health insurance all at once.

Some say it was already happening prior to the election.

what you said is not correct and I know someone already corrected you but itās important to saying it again.

u/midwestern2afault 2d ago
What are you talking about. Chrysler has been manufacturing in Canada for 100 years and Mexico for nearly that long. This is nothing new. As for the ājust retool Belvedereā argument, you do realize that plant retooling takes multiple years and hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars right? Itās not like flipping a switch.

Weāre only 3 months into this term rife with Job loss, high food prices, and market instability. I should buy a gun while I still can.
8
u/creepingshadose 2d ago
But but he said everything has been going great and ALL prices are down just yesterday. He said it, so it must be true
27
u/RunTheClassics 2d ago
You don't already own a gun?
103
u/manystripes 2d ago
Given the statistics a gun being more likely to be used for suicide than self defense, I don't trust myself to have one in the house, especially if things start getting really bad
35

u/MacAttacknChz Former Detroiter 2d ago
Same. And now that I have kids, my house will absolutely remain gun free.

ā¦no. What should I get?

u/OwlOfFortune 2d ago
What's the purpose? Home defense, get a shot gun
11
u/RunTheClassics 2d ago
And then get your concealed carry license and get a 9mm carry. You don't need a huge ass glock sticking out of your pants. A Beretta APX carry with the extended mag is perfectly suitable and nobody knows it's on you.
14
u/Damnatus_Terrae 2d ago
Just what we need, more people whose experience with firearms is measured in months carrying them everywhere. Let them start with the shotgun.
-3
u/RunTheClassics 2d ago
Gotta start somewhere, why not start at the basis of "I'm scared" lol
11
u/Damnatus_Terrae 2d ago
why not start at the basis of "I'm scared" lol
Because frightened, inexperienced people with firearms are fucking dangerous?
6
u/RunTheClassics 2d ago
That would be the joke.
1
u/Damnatus_Terrae 2d ago
Sorry, I don't joke about firearms unless I know the people I'm with.

Looking at a bodyguard 2.0 in .380 using +P

u/RunTheClassics 2d ago
That's nice too. get the extended clip. Gives you another 2 rounds and a place to comfortably rest your pinkey since the grip is smaller. Not sure the size of your hands but it hangs awkwardly off without it for me on these smaller pistols.

I am a conservative Canadian. Never owned a gun but starting to think I should get one.

You're a conservative that lives in Canada and you've never been hunting? How?

The Charger is turning out to be quite the bust, I'll be amazed if it remains in production through 2026. I've driven a bunch as a car hauler and it's fun but underwhelming.
The Pacifica and the Caravan are in desperate need of a refresh, the Asian minivans are stripping market share year over year.
A lot of this is the result of the company trying to delay the inset of the steel and aluminum tariffs, by delaying installing; trying to get an exemption. falling flat.

Stellantis was in the shitter before the tariff announcement. Now they just get a convenient scapegoat for their failing operation.

The hell are you on about? Stellantis has probably laid off 10k workers since 2023, including a big corporate layoff last year. I didn't see you getting outraged about that. Tariffs are not very smart but let's not act like Stellantis was in great financial shape prior to this.

Then you find out that every in July that plants shut down to retool for next yearās models, try again troll.

What does that have to do with idling a plant in April?
