Picture Detroit TRUMP protest, NO STEP ON GAY SNEK!
Terrific time, thousands and thousands of people marching up and down both sides of Woodward for a mile and half.
Absolute favorite was that truck with big American flags, Fuck Trump, and No Step On Rainbow Snek. My daughter and I are in the red impeach hats.

Talk Detroit The best deals in Metro Detroit/SE Michigan?! Do deals still exist?
So…this economy is extremely stressful and it is not letting up. I remember back in the day, when businesses offered kick ass deals to get people in the door, and we would flock to those places. Now…seems like everywhere is squeezing every penny from us while offering the bare minimum and it’s F’in tiring. There have to be some hidden gem good deals out there. Let’s share with each other. Maybe it will uplift a few of us out of the current economic situation affecting our lives. Any region, any deal, leave it here. I will go first
$DEALS$ $DEALS$ $DEALS$
-$5 dollar ticket Tuesdays, MJR theaters
-Free popcorn Tuesdays, MJR theaters
-Emagine Woodhaven has an “all inclusive” option on concessions for a flat fee.
-Fuji Buffet Madison Heights, lunch is 19.99, not an amazing deal but within reach for a special occasion.
-papaya market, Dearborn, on Wednesdays they have big sales.
-Gas prices downriver are routinely cheaper (by like 20 cents+) than the burbs
-Aahar Indian lunch buffet Farmington hills, wide selection.
If I think of more I’ll comment below. Thanks all.

Sports To the girl in section 215, row 9- red wings game 3/29
Body: We sat next to each other at the Wings game last Saturday (3/29), Section 215, Row 9. You were wearing a short black skirt, and we ended up holding hands a few times during the game. Every time I let go, you'd grab my hand again and hit me with that intense stare—honestly, kind of unforgettable.
We joked about my sister screaming so loudly we were both going deaf—still laughing about that.
I should’ve asked for your number, but I hesitated. Just wanted to say: if you see this (or if any of her friends do), I’d love the chance to reconnect.
Talk Detroit My apologize in advance
I'm sorry if it snows tomorrow.
I ran my snowblower dry and put it away for the season.
😆

Talk Detroit DTE ads on Reddit
Good to know that DTE is spending my hard-earned money on ads marketing their whole home surge protection plan that's not really needed unless you live in an old house with faulty wiring (in which case that should be fixed first and then problem solved!)
As everyone else would say: FUCK DTE.

Talk Detroit We DO NOT need a "big box" store downtown.
Unless it is a specialty version of said store, a Walmart or target coming here would destroy local businesses and uglify downtown even more than what the 50's and 60's did already. I thought we were trying to recover what happened then.

Politics/Elections I’m set to attend a town hall of Congressman Shri Thanedar but I have no idea what to ask or to research to be prepared. Anything you want to know?
EDIT: that was an infuriating and massive waste of time.
edit again post event: I was really disappointed he bragged about how many town halls he had done you would’ve thought by now he could make a better system. I think it was pretty ridiculous to just sit and have him give us updates on news that obviously anyone attending the Townhall already knows about I don’t need to get my news from him. He actually said that “he sleeps well” at night, knowing that children in Gaza are being murdered. That’s when I left.
If he is your Rep too, what should we be asking and looking to hear?
