News 4 arrested in hyperbaric chamber fire that killed 5-year-old Royal Oak boy
The description of how the boy and the mom suffered is just awful. I hope they throw the book at these four.

News Melvindale Lt. stopped her over an expired tab, then tased her in front of her children
Shocker! The same Melvindale police officer who is under investigation for using a taser brutally did it again! He’s got a history going back a decade of abusive behavior, but slipped out of trouble each time like the snake he is. Hopefully this time he’s done.
This only came out because of a WXYZ FOIA request. This scumbag used excessive force on a mother in her car when she didn’t comply right away. (Don’t give me the comply BS - prosecutor dropped the case against her)
People of Melvindale, you need to get your boy

News Michigan Veterans against Trump and Elon fascism
Hello all Michigan veterans!
I would like to join some local protests dealing with Trump and Musk.
Where do I go? I've tried this before and all i get is tons of "donate here" bullshit. I do not have enough money to donate, i have time and heart. I would like to protest peacefully and exercise my constitutional rights (which I swore an oath to uphold). There is no expiration date on that oath! Advice please.

News Ford CEO: IRA tax credit repeals could risk jobs, Trump tariffs are 'cost and chaos'
I think this quote is an element of this that nobody has really realized about some of these tariffs. We're going to negatively impact American companies and American jobs while simplifying growth in the industry for foreign business.
"It gives free rein to South Korean and Japanese and European companies that are bringing one and a half to 2 million vehicles into the U.S. that wouldn't be subject to those Mexican and Canadian tariffs," Farley said. "It would be one of the biggest windfalls for those companies ever."

News Detroit police officer calls ICE, violates department policy
> Sometime in early February, a woman walked into Detroit’s 4th Precinct to report a crime. According to the Detroit Police Department (DPD), she volunteered information about her immigration status, and an officer — in violation of department policy — alerted federal immigration authorities.
> “Our internal review determined that the officer’s actions did not align with departmental policy. The officer has received corrective feedback,” Detroit Police Public Information Director Vic Pratt wrote in an email.

News WDIV and SNL 50
Thanks, WDIV!
For cutting out the ending of the SNL 50 show!
There was no breaking news. There was nothing special to lead off the news. The best you could do was have Pamela Osborn tell us we could go online to see all the highlights!
You’ve promoted the show for over a month. You played specials all weekend. Then when the actual event happens, you cut it off? WTF!
I may have to start watching WXYZ!
