Politics/Elections We protesting tomorrow or do I need to drive my ass to Lansing?
Help me out. I’m as pissed off as the next guy and want to show some solidarity with my Stellantis brethren. (As well as visibly object to the rampant stupidity of the current administration) Is there a place of organization within the city that I can participate in civil disobedience.
Help me out fam

Talk Detroit John's Carpet House of Now?
I was told years back by a buddy about how great the John's Carpet House jams were. I sadly read that they had been shut down.
Is there anything that has replaced this jam or a similar jam that hasn't been shut down by the state?

Talk Detroit Stories on Belle isle
I was wondering if anyone had some fun facts that they’ve heard over the years. I’ve become super fascinated with its history and would like to know more. Maybe even some stories of events that people’s family members went to. There’s only so much that’s been documented on such a beautiful place.
Things that may or not be related that I’d also like to hear more about:
- Campau and Legget Family
- Jacques Marquette
- Early Casino Days
Please please I’d love to hear anything and everything, even if i already know. I’d like to hear it from your perspective!
Thank you for taking the time to read :)

Talk Detroit Ziwe in Royal Oak this weekend
Who’s going?! And if you don’t know who Ziwe is, look her up! I’ve been to one of her shows in Boston and didn’t stop laughing the entire time. Highly recommended!

Talk Detroit name of a street musician downtown?
A few months ago I was near campus martius and there was a young guy playing music. He had a board set up with a bunch of Venmo/Cashapp other handles.
I don’t remember much about him except he was a younger guy playing guitar (I think) and killing it. He was super talented.
I recall him up on Venmo and trying to send a few bucks as we were leaving but it wouldn’t go through, so unfortunately I can’t find him through my Venmo records.
Anyway it might be a long shot but every now and then I think about it and am curious if anyone knows who it would be?
