My sister decided to “make your drum look pretty” does this affect the tone?

While I was out today my sister did some illustration on my snare, just wanted to know if it’ll affect the tone at all? I kinda like what she did in a weird chaotic way so I don’t really wanna get a new head. I don’t tend to use dampening cos I like the raw sound.

Premier APK kit with Premier 2000 snare got a huge deal on this APK kit, shellpack+full set of hardware and cases+hardware bag. if i remember correctly i paid 250 euros

i fully disassembled and deep cleaned this kit, re-polished all the chrome. So much work but definitely worth it!

My electronic drum set has reignited my love for drumming

I am shocked at this to be honest. I’ve been drumming for a couple of decades and ever since I had my first kid 7 years ago, I particularly slowed down playing and then the last few years, pretty much stopped. Never had time. Couldn’t play at night. When I did play the kids would come down and then it just didn’t work.

Anyway, got myself a Simmons titan 70 setup. Holy crap! I never ever would have expected an electronic drum set to sound this good and be this fun. I know this only a mid tier set but my expectations were well exceeded.

I’m just so happy to be playing again and enjoying it. For anyone who may find their interest slipping, this did the trick for me. I couldn’t let go of my acoustic set so still getting that stored somewhere in the house lol

Does my right hand look awkward?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently started filming myself practicing. Even though my right hand feels better than my left, it seems to look a bit awkward. I’m sticking out my elbow and seem to be playing from an unnatural angle. My left hand also seems to sound cleaner.

What do you guys think? Am I over analyzing?

Technique advice for ugly RIGHT hand on fast singles

Hello guys. I’d really like someones input on how to fix my right hand when it comes to fast singles. I’m left handed, so naturally my left will be faster, but the issue here is a technical one, and i’m struggling to fix it.

It seems like my right hand at this speed opens up and the stick just completely loses balance on my index cuticle and eventually falls off completely.

Could this be a finger strength issue? I hate how I unconsciously open up my right hand so much and can’t control my technique at that speed. Any advice would be appreciated.

How much is this worth? Would it be a good first acoustic kit?

I have a cheap electronic kit but just moved and had to sell it, I’m looking to get an acoustic and I found this on fb for 130$, idk much about acoustic kits though

Hey all, kits set up now. Had a few minutes to play and holy F and I amazed. The kit sounds beautiful. I got the mics set up but have not been able to test them micd. The first thing I noticed was how much the rebound the kick has. I've never been able to do doubles but I think I just clicked the light switch. God damn. Beater naturally wants to double. That's new to me. I'm glad I went with the starclassic. Specs. Tama Starclassic in Molten brown burst 12 x 8 rack 16 x 16 floor 22 x 14 kick

13 x 7 brass snare ( pork pie )

14" K hats 8" K splash 12" A plash 17" Istanbul agop traditional crash 20" Avedis rock ride 19" K custom hybrid crash 17" Istanbul Xist Ion Crash

Audix D6 kick mic Audix D4 floor mic x 2 Audix D2 tom mic x 2 Audix I5 snare mic Audix Adx 51 for Over-Heads Samson C02 mics as Room mics

Running through a Focusrite 18i20 interface and then to Yamaha HS8 monitors and sub or vsx modeling headphones. ( Usually the headphones because my room is not sound treated. ) Using Reaper as my DAW. Thank you all for the comments. This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Glad I could make this happen at 31.

What should i add/improve?

What should i add/ improve? (Sorry for bad image quality, ik its bad... and the towel on the ride is just to mute it) Ok so the base drum is the tama rythm mate ( toms and hardware), had it for a couple years

Toms (all of these are from the tama): On the toms: evans g2 On the snare: evans power center reverse dot On the bass: stock heads but the evans soundoff foam pad

Cymbals: Hihat: meinl pure alloy 14" Crash: meinl pure alloy custom 16" with evans soundoff pad Ride: came with the kit, meinl bcs 20"

Its not the best kit but im pretty happy with it. I already ordered a better snare... my question basically is if i should get a second crash, better ride... or maybe something completely different, thats why im asking... thx for your answers in advance!
