I just quickly scrolled their profile for a minute to see if this was a one-off or this person feels the need to constantly dye their dog.. and I got my answer. Some people need to be called out when they are doing dumb shit, and this is one of those cases. It's all kinds of silly.
Your dog should be good enough just the way it is.
Just for the sake of argument, sometimes people do this because it deters theft… much easier to remove a collar & GPS tag than to un-color their fur. It’s becoming more common with service dogs in particular, as they’re very expensive to train (if we’re talking about legit SDs) and hard to “replace.”
