It's not that scary. UI parity would mean Epic actually wants StW to feel like the other gamemodes and actually get played, meaning more players, more focus, and potentially a resurgence for the game

Nobody is against mode parity or StW integration into exciting Fortnite metaverse. Everyone is against making blend, corporate UI in a game that used to be an example of great UI+Artstyle. All those uneven-shaped buttons, playful fonts and great game-design basics were replaced with rounded buttons, boring fonts and lack of visual/sound effects. The game itself just lost it's soul, that's why people don't want them to touch the last remains of OG UI.

Amazing. But it would be even better if STW was simply integrated into the main Fortnite lobby, and each regular and venture zone was only available to select in Discovery as separate games. The button to call upon the unique STW menu interfaces could be tucked in a corner specifically and only appear when you selected one of the STW zones.
