I made this vision board to show my stylist but everyone I show says they're confused by it so now I'm kinda afraid to show them TT

Want to go peach next

I had blue Arctic fox on this piece this winter but since have been putting vivid pink on top for the last 4 months. Usually it’ll hang onto the latest color and I was expecting it to fade straight pink but it’s been consistently fading purple/blue on the ends where it’s much more porous. I wanted to go a peachy pink instead of purple, but I cannot get this blue to shift. I would rather not use anything on it that’ll make it more porous. Been using clarifying shampoo and hot water to get most of the color out.

Do you think if I put a yellowy orange on the blue, it’ll neutralize it enough where I can then go over it with orangey pink? I’m trying to color theory my way to my end goal.

Or do I just let it ride like this a while longer, since I want to do rainbow for Pride Month coming up.

should I go ginger (this is visualization)

I'm a bit worried that ginger would look too intense (I don't have much contrast on my face) or look bad with my red acne scars ✨

I recently dyed my hair with AgeBeautiful 7RC Strawberry Blonde and Good Dye Young Burgundy for a money piece color. I haven’t dyed my hair in many years and I was largely working with virgin dark blonde hair. I gave birth over a year ago and I feel like my hair has gotten to be a slightly darker blonde bordering on brunette, and a bit uneven in color shortly after this photo was taken. I wanted a change to even it out.

I don’t know much about hair dye, I didn’t bleach my hair, but I’m not super happy with how it turned out. I dyed it two weeks ago.

What should I do? I’m stuck between wanting to be a blonde again, or going brunette. I don’t want to go much darker, but I’m open to any other color options.

Help Selecting Hair Dye

Hello,

I've wanted to try going very dark for awhile now, but don't want it to be permanent or to not be able to bleach it in the future if I decide dark isn't for me. At first I tried finding a black, but it seems my best bet is finding the darkest brown possible to avoid fading into purple or blue, or a weird color after a bleach lift. I'm not interested in bleaching my hair any time soon, but I've gone blonde before and want to have the ability to go blonde in the future without having to grow my hair out completely again.

Does anyone know of a good semi-permanent very dark brown that will let me see if I like the dark color, but can fade completely out if I decide it's not for me? My current hair color I was told is a level 7 blonde, but to me it just looks brown, if not a medium ashy brown. If I like the color, I plan to just stick to it and touch it up every month or so as I was told semi-permanent does no damage, and the maintenance required is worth the hair health to me. My sister is an aesthetician and is able to get professional dye, so things sold at cosmoprof would be ideal!

Thank you for any advice you are able to give c: I appreciate it!

Is there any way to get my new hair dye to fade faster?

Hi all. I got my hair colored yesterday like this. Last photo is the reference. I don’t love the way it looks on me especially because the top is so dark. I have fair skin with pink undertones with blue eyes. I did mention to the stylist that I’m concerned it would be too dark and that I would be ok going lighter even if it wouldn’t look like the photo. She assured me it would be fine and that warm blonde would look better on me than cool blonde. Well I don’t think that’s true after all. I currently feel like my looks give a morticia addams vibe and that’s totally not what I was going for, lol. I was trying to lighten my hair a bit for the summer and just do something different. Previously I had just brown hair about a level 6. This is a level 4. I also don’t like how red-ish the bottoms look but that’s another story. Is there anything I can do to make it lighter/fade quicker? I currently don’t want to leave my house because I’m embarrassed.

I'd need a product to cover grey hair

Post image

So my mom started to get grey hair but now she's on the black to yellow to grey stage and she'd like to cover the yellows to look nice.

She tried the Kallos purple shampoo and didn't work. Also tried a Pallete ashy blonde toner with very little effect on her yellow parts. She tried a purple semi permanent dye but didn't stick on the grey hair for obvious reasons.

We will not use the permanent grey blinde dyes on the market as we know the black parts will get orange. We also can't afford a salon atm.

We'd like some advice on what products will actually work well and stick to the grey hair. If it can also give a subtle purple shade then it will be perfect!

i have virgin roots (dark black), and medium brown ends that are kinda reddish not really (box dyed a year ago)

what would happen if i just bought blond box dye and put that over my hair. would it turn brown? what if i put light brown box dye?

hii, im trying to dye my hair this color! for context, im asian and my hair is just jet black, but i got highlights around 4 months ago and then dyed them my entire head red with box dye. the red doesn’t really show on my black hair at all, so basically i have red highlights. theyve faded to a brassy brown so im looking for a change, but im not too sure what effect hair dye would have on my highlights compared to the rest of my hair! if you could give me some insight id really appreciate it! i was thinking of using loreal hicolor cuz i dont really wanna bleach my entire head. any thoughts?

Pink hair recommendations?

The last photo is of my hair around 2 weeks ago, it was manic panic hot hot pink and it faded very quickly ( though I was washing it a lot and using heat). Does anyone have any recommendations to get the first 2 pics colors? Manic panic was too red for my liking, I’ve only been able to find either very pale pinks or hot pinks and I’m looking for something a bit more in the middle.

Blonde journey and Brad Mondo’s butterfly cut

Started with a Garnier box dye, didn’t lighten as much as I had wanted. Next day went to Sally’s and picked up Wella Color Charm lightener and had to bleach twice within 4 days and used t19 both times. Then went in with lowlights with a 7N and hand-painted them. Fucked up a bit the first time I did the lowlights by myself and left stripes and spots on the top. Then recruited my husband to help even it out a few days later. Also decided to do the butterfly cut on myself on the spur of a moment decision. It’s been quite a 2 week journey with lots of help from my husband and never imagined going back to blonde but I am happier than I thought!

Hi!

I want to throw in a few highlights myself to get rid of the harsh line.

I want the highlights to match my current vanilla butter blonde colour which I love. What Wella toner should I go for?

I got my hair done back in September 2024

I gave up on pastel pink for now. Here is my new color!

I recently posted asking for advice on how to get my hair more white so I could go pastel pink. I appreciate the advice I got, it was so helpful… but then I was going through something and Sally Beauty didn’t sell Adore hair color and in a borderline breakdown I said fuck it and got Arctic Fox virgin pink and diluted it with conditioner. I added too much hair dye and ended up with a more vibrant color, but I actually love it and I’m hoping it will fade to a soft pink. :) The last two photos are of the blonde I applied it to.

Looking for a good liquid leave in conditioner

I'm looking for a good moisturizing hair mist but every time I try one it's a mist pump but a thick conditioner that comes out in spurts instead of a fine mist. Any recommendations on good liquid leave in that actually comes out in a fine mist?

Pink dye over brown hair - a pipe dream?

(UK) I've been dying my hair pink for over 10 years and using various dyes (crazy colour, directions, live, and currently Colour Freedom), and have been bleaching it for just as long. Despite this it's really not that damaged as I never bleach over the bleached parts itself!

Though more recently my hair's been having a bit of a tantrum after bleaching, getting dry and squeaky after shampooing etc so i'm not sure how many bleaching sessions it has left in it!

Any chance that in these 10 years we've invented a pink dye that will go over my natural medium-brown hair so I can skip the bleach entirely? Pink is essentially my natural hair colour I don't feel like myself without it 😭

Color depositing for copper/orange hair?

I’m just wondering what kind of color depositing products would work well for maintaining this color? I’ve tried in the past and most things I’ve used have turned out closer to a true red instead of orange. Any suggestions?

Now that I have changed my colour so many times, how do I match my roots?

I have changed my hair multiple times the past few months (pink, blue, green, purple). I'm not sure how I'm going to match my roots now! For example I've went from blue to green to get a specific shade. But if I put that dye on top of blonde roots, it would be a different colour. Hopefully this doesn't sound too silly. Just worried because I don't know what to do!

would it be possible to dye my hair a gradient navy blue from black?

i have very thick, very dark black, half indian hair that i want to dye the ends of blue, fading from blue to my natural black (think an shiraishi from project sekai). my mum's hair (naturally brown) dyes and holds colour very well, and she says i might have gotten those genes? my dad (black hair) has never tried. i asked my hairdresser and she doesn't think it's possible without bleaching my hair to bits. would it be possible to dye my hair partly blue?

Perm and old highlights

I'll start with I'm a dude and my hair is 90% virgin, brown and between 7 and 8 inches long.

So I studied hairdressing in college, I know that perming bleached hair can go fine or it can cause melting, brakeage and excessive frizz, that said I have some highlights in the front of my hair that I did 6 months ago with a highlighting cap, I've got 3 inches of new growth below these highlights and I've just kind of left them grow out.

I really want a perm, and I know what might happen to the bleached bits if I get a perm, would you as a stylist be willing to perm someone who knew the risks but had bleached hair? Or would it still be a hard no? I honestly would do it myself but I don't have the kit and I can't imagine I'd be able to put tiny curlers in the back of my own hair, I want the tightest curl possible as its a look I rocked years ago and I miss it. (my old perm was done around rollers that were basically the thickness of a pencil)

Thankyou for your input :)
