Our biggest issue as a country is the lack of voter participation. Only less than half of the eligible voters actually vote.

It's insane how difficult it is to vote in the US. Imagine if the election was a public holiday. Turnout would be so different.

You can vote for days and days before the election. You seriously think there is only one day that you can vote??

Not everyone has your kind of free time. There are people that have to worry about childcare, preparing meals, overtime hours, a long commute, household chores, errands, checking in on elderly loved ones, scheduling visits to a doctor or a mechanic, and just having a few hours of fucking free time to themselves.

The media and Reddit did a really good job of making it seem like it would be a landslide victory for the Democrats. Not everyone had the free time to dedicate to what was promised as a landslide victory.
