DRP, VERA / VSIP, RIF order?
Why don’t they just release the RIF plans and then all these get out of here plans? It would work much better.

They should offer DRP again first, and that may reduce the need to RIF so many people. A lot of people did not trust the initial rollout (due to the messenger & the tone of that message) & it was before a CR was passed. Now, they’d get more takers.

They are doing just that in many departments. I accepted it yesterday when it was offered a second time.

Just opened DRP to DOI again, only open until Wednesday. Probably won’t take it since it makes you ineligible for unemployment…. Questions: if I get RIFed, what is the likely hood I’d just get the axe, or an offer to be reshuffled. And if they offer a different position, do they try to make it within a 50 mile radius? And if I turn that down, does that mean I don’t get unemployment? Or severance?

Every RIF so far has been a re-org. So, no bump and move, but you would get unemployment and severance.

That's not how the process is done usually. It's been my experience that they offer vera and possibly vsip to get people to go out...and then if they don't get the number of ppl they need to leave using those "voluntary" methods...then they move to a RIF. The difference this time is that it looks like DRP is in effect taking the place of a vsip.
