Rules for thee but not for me
So we’re all back in the office. My supervisor casually tells us at a meeting a few weeks ago that she’ll be putting herself in for reasonable accommodations. To give some background she’s probably 32-35, she’s off a lot, travels a lot for pleasure. Tells us about these hikes and things she does, but now suddenly is putting in for RA. Apparently her plan is to telework 3 days a week with RA. The thing is, she hasn’t been approved for it yet but is already working that schedule. Is that even a thing? How can you not be approved but working like it has been approved?

Reinstated just to be Terminated?
So are the Probationary Period Employees being Reinstated just to be legally fired this time? What’s the deal with that. Plus updating our resumes based on our job qualifications? I’m pretty sure most of us Attended a Hiring Event and got hired for our roles based off our resume right?

IRS DPR2
Revenue Agent here. Been told to return to duty April 14. I hear other agencies are offering the deferred resignation again. So far I haven't seen it from the IRS...I just hear rumors that they will.
Has anyone else heard anything about the IRS offering the deferred resignation again?

We were told repeatedly and now we’re learning the hard way. What could have been done differently?

What’s the plan for civil rights?!
Does anyone know what the plan is for civil rights offices? Project 2025 is implying an overhaul of an interpretation of the laws but not exactly abolish them. Anyone have any direct insight on this?

Severance Question about getting RIFd
DOD probationary employee here My 1 year is in July.
I'm not taking DRP because I love where I'm at and will take the gamble I stay however if I do get cut couple questions:
Q1: From what i understand you don't get severance until you have 1 year. If I'm on admin leave throug my first year would I qualify?
Q2: I have heard rumors if you receive military retirement you won't get a severance period. I have been Reading through OPM guidance and have not found anything confirming or refuting this.

DRP, VERA / VSIP, RIF order?
Why don’t they just release the RIF plans and then all these get out of here plans? It would work much better.

Could use advice regarding my situation
I’m a GS6 in a 0303 position (misc clerk and assistant) in the DoD. I took this position in November to get into the federal government, as that has been my goal since I got my Bachelors. I intended on making the fed govt my career, but then the election happened and my morale and motivation as tanked since. Especially because I make peanuts at this job and it’s not particularly fulfilling. I don’t really know what I want to do moving forward - I thought about taking the DRP and searching for a new job in the private sector, but I am also curious if I stay and see what happens later this year. I’m a veteran and apparently have preference in a RIF according to my SF50.
Do we think the DoD is going to go through a RIF after the DRP 2.0 period is up? Am I naive in thinking that the hiring freeze will be lifted in the fed govt and jobs will be available and that I can still keep moving up? What would you guys do in my position?

This is the second thing today where some republicans are breaking with cheeto. I'm going to grab onto the hope anywhere I can find it.

Department of Labor DRP 2.0 Friday Evening Email
On the same day Secretary Chavez-DeRemer is all over the media bragging about the positive jobs report, she sends this DRP 2.0 letter to her employees—with the response window starting at 7 p.m. on a Friday night when the email was sent.
Dear Colleagues, I am committed to proceeding with transparency as the Department of Labor continues carrying out President Trump's Executive Order, "Implementing the President's “Department of Government Efficiency Work Optimization Initiative," to right-size our workforce and ensure maximum effectiveness for the American people. To that end, below please find more information on the next phase of our workforce optimization initiative. As of today, the department will re-open the Deferred Resignation Program (DRP) and Voluntary Earty Retirement Authority (VERA) options for eligible employees within the following agencies: • International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB) • Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) • Women's Bureau • Office of Public Affairs (OPA) For Department of Labor employees outside of the four agencies listed above, additional information will be made available regarding your specific agencies in the coming weeks. The window for participating in these programs will open on April 4 and close on April 14, 2025. I want to emphasize for clarity that this is the next stage in the department's multi-step workforce optimization process. Additional announcements, including plans to implement Reductions in Force (RiFs), should be expected in the coming weeks. My goal is to provide as many options and as much information as possible to enable informed decision-making regarding your career and your future. Please be on the lookout for details from DOL Guidance and Information. For any questions regarding the DRP, please reach out to Deferred.Resignation.Program.Questions@dol.gov. We remain committed to navigating this period of change with respect and clarity. Thank you for your service to our nation. Lori Chavez-DeRemer Secretary U.S. Department of Labor

For the people that accepted the DRP, how long did it take to get the document in docusign? I’m waiting on mine still. I submitted my application on Thursday.

Retirement annuities in budget reconciliation and time frame
Are they changing retirement annuities? Will the people on DRP get stuck with a lesser package? For anyone 62 with years be better off to just retire the conventional way not to take the Nigerian prince offer? I had wanted to wait two years til I got stateside since OCONUS return is complicated from Korea

Can you get RIF’d if you are retirement eligible?
Curious what happens to people who eligible to retire. Can they be RIF’d as well.

DRP 1.0 Questions
DoD has a second DRP w deadline between 7-14 April. Problem is I have a final interview the 14th and they said I won’t know about the job until the 18th at the earliest. I’m thinking about taking leave from 7-19th. I have a ton of leave.
This is for a job making about what I make now. Same commute. Good benefits. Would allow me to transfer my skills from a federal environment to commercial. It’s with a good company.
I wasn’t really looking hard but decided to apply on weekends when I had time. Im a vet and have over 20 years of federal service. I’m hoping I’m near the last to get RIF’d but I am also eligible for VERA. And figure if I’m one of the ones that go, it helps newer employees at the beginning of their career be saved from RIF, but I wasn’t going to go unless I had a solid job offer.
Did anyone take the DRP after being on leave for the last deadline and get approved? I figured my leadership would accept it if it means they don’t have to cut someone else. Not sure about the deadline tho for the DRP and VERA. I don’t want to give up my retirement or defer it until I’m eligible. I’m just confused and I know it doesn’t mean anything unless I get the solid offer. But some well timed leave could save my butt here.
Edited for some misspellings and grammar.

OGE 450?
Anyone know if they ask for a termination OGE 450 for fired/separated people?
This is what Meta AI says but I think it’s importing the rule for the other OGE form (278).
“After retirement or separation from a position requiring confidential financial disclosure (OGE Form 450), you are generally required to file a termination report within 30 days, but not if you are assuming another position requiring the same filing within 30 days. “
