Reinstated just to be Terminated?
So are the Probationary Period Employees being Reinstated just to be legally fired this time? What’s the deal with that. Plus updating our resumes based on our job qualifications? I’m pretty sure most of us Attended a Hiring Event and got hired for our roles based off our resume right?

Probably, but it may depend on your unit. Rumor is they also want to fire many olds. To do that they have to eliminate entire units.
That means probies in units that don't get eliminated may keep their jobs, while 30 year employees elsewhere are Riffed
There can be a lot of granularity to how they set up the competitive areas and levels.
But if there is a competitive RIF in your area, it's generally last in first out.

This comment is how I feel. We are bringing back probie who lacks experience, but my 20 years in repeated Terms will be up-front for RIF. Must teach new person how to do my job as I’m removed.

Nobody truly knows what their planning but in their email sent last Friday, the resume upload is to reorganize you to another position based on it. Will it happen who knows.

What e-mail and to who? I’m a reinstated admin-leave probie and haven’t gotten any email about uploading a resume.

“I’m pretty sure most of us attended a hiring event and got hired for our roles…” I’ve never met another fed who was hired at a hiring event. Nearly everyone in my agency was hired in response to a USAJobs posting.

The firings were illegal. And those employees illegally fired were ineligible for unemployment. Being legally laid off is better for future federal employment and qualify for unemployment.

Illegal firings yes but I haven’t heard of any of us being ineligible for unemployment, under what circumstances are terminated feds ineligible for unemployment.

Per State laws. When the probie employees were fired the reason was listed as "poor performance". When you are fired for this reason you are ineligible for unemployment.

Must depend on the state. Glad they “wised up” by the time I was terminated and simply said they didn’t need my skills anymore.

Yeah, if you do a search on reddit you'll see a few post where people were denied unemployment due to that "poor performance" statement. But changing yours to "skills no longer needed" should have been under a RIF action, which is considered a layoff. And in this case you are eligible for unemployment.

I haven’t received any Email Notifying me of uploading my Resume or any offer for a 2nd Fork in the road.

So far I’ve seen some IRS folks told to upload resumes and DoD offered 2nd DRP (7-14 April).

It’s so that court order can be followed, and layoff can be made permanent without challenges, by the formal RIF process.
