What’s the plan for civil rights?!
Does anyone know what the plan is for civil rights offices? Project 2025 is implying an overhaul of an interpretation of the laws but not exactly abolish them. Anyone have any direct insight on this?

It is from my understanding that none of it is legal and the federal government it mandated to have civil rights offices and authorized to investigate complaints into title VII issues. In addition, the jobs have each unique training requirements that any old HR representative cannot perform per the MD 110 and 29 CFR 1614.
In part its mandated by law however it appears by the recent chess moves made by the executive branch for agencies like SS, DOL, DO ed. CDC, HHS, have either dismantled their entire EEO divisions or greatly reduced their stuff to insufficient level to actually perform the functions and elements of this statue.
What is even worst, all these cuts are in order to save the bottom line however, poor quality eeo programs harrassment programs, mediiation programs not following these law requirements will be costly to these agencies then the amount being cut and saved.
I have a best friend who works in one of these active civil rights divisions and she is worried everyday but doesn't quit because she believes in what she is doing and severing those who file and feel discrimination against.
So much will be lost with the dismantling of these services.

The DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties was pretty much gutted with a RIF. I'm sure other departments will follow suit.

Annihilation, based on who's ordering the cuts.
