The mods have given a lot of slack around P/L posts that don't follow our rules.. mostly because members were just excited to pass a challenge or post up their first day of positive numbers. However, the amount of (rule violating) PnL porn posts has gotten out of hand... and the quality of most borderlines cringe level flexing.
So a refresher on our rule #8 in the sidebar:
8.No Gain / Loss (P/L) Porn
We don't care how much money you made or lost. Context is everything, and the details matter!
Do not post your P/L Porn here unless you're prepared to give a detailed account of your strategy and all factors that went into generating said P/L. You must also give context to account size, and risk tolerance. Showing off 3000% gains and hiding that it was on a $100 account grossly misrepresents yourself, and we will have none of it here.
This also applies to Prop / Scouting firm challenges.
(we are not wsb.. measure how long your dollar sign is over there if you need that kinda validation)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And regarding the influx of prop challenge PnL posts specifically:
Ladies and gentlemen,...I hate to break it to you, but while passing a prop challenge is a good achievement for a developing trader, it's not exactly worth "dunkin' on them fools" level energy...
Don't get me wrong, it's fine and getting a firm's certificate saying you passed can represent a major milestone in your trading journey. ... .but consider that it's only a step closer to getting paid, not yet getting paid out.. you're posting a demo PnL with added difficulty from structured rules to follow.
Wanna flex your prop challenge pass?
Flex the stuff that will bring you closer to a payout. Post the stats, post the context (plan, method, etc..) and tell us about why you're sharing it...

I'm new to forex trading and trying to figure out what are these application? Are these trading bot are scam?
Entered at .573 I usually enter with a trialing stop of 20 pip. Figured it would find support around .57 and go back up….. it didnt and i didnt put any stops because i forgot and just put the trade in……
I was feeling high and mighty after the pump the day before…. This was very humbling to ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure you have your stop losses set. ALWAYS!

I’m coming back worst than before, with this big NQ short trade. Thank you Trump.
I attach a screenshot of the trade information on Metatrader5, originally the trade was 0.88 Lots, I've partialized from time to time until now.

Been trading since august last year now but I’ve been watching vids to trading for like 2-3 years by learning different confluences and the meaning of those.
Had a few winning trades but most of the time I’ve been losing. My biggest issue is:
1.Creating my own strategy:
Been learning most of the stuff from ICT or pattern trading since that was the first thing I’ve started with when I found out about trading. But when I see videos of other people using different confluences it feels like learning the ICT concepts such as FVG, OB, IFVG and all the other stuff is like 1% of the things I can learn which make it hard to create my own strategy since I see many people use different confluences. as example seeing stuff like “ryze zones”,“bookmap” or all the other stuff.
2.Finding a good entry:
Liquidity is one thing. the other is how a market reacts. I suck at both lol. I never know how a market has to react or how it has to look like for me to know “alright thats a good reaction” if yall get what I mean. What does the market have to do for me to catch those “god trades” such as the one in the pic as example?
Hope you guys understand what I’m talking about even with my broken english. geniunely want to know how this stuff works. I’m a guy that isn’t interested in literally anything. Trading is something I can say I’m interested in something for the first time. It’s not just about the money for me but about understanding how all of this works.
Some tips or help would be appreciated.

AUDUSD have a huge drop of 300pips yesterday, with my marks on charts it droped below last swing low which indicate bearish breakout on daily. On EURUSD and GBPUSD still bullish and idk what to think now i will wait monday or even Tuesday to see what will market do. But still what do you guys think is it going to pump up as a false breakout beacuse of dollar weakness or something happend in Australia economics?

If you’re complaining about Trump please stop scalping….
Been seeing a lot of these complaints lately & I think it’s time for a lot of people to make the switch to swing trading.
It’s known that higher timeframes hold more data so why not choose the trading style that focuses on Higher timeframe the most?
More data will always mean a higher probability.
I get it a lot of people want to trade everyday because trading is somewhat addicting kinda game-like.
Constantly getting into the markets makes your potential to lose money go up due to exposing yourself to risk more.
Sit back & wait for real high probability setups which can take weeks to form.
If you’re not terminally ill or homeless there’s no reason you should be tryna rush this process

Hi, as a profitable trader, how do you respond when someone ask what is your job?.
So I m a student and started with $100 and it’s a lot here in India. I had pending buy order that triggered and I wasn’t aware and it dint had stop loss and usually I do have SL. And the trigger price was so peak top. When I found out I was tensed and was waiting and waiting for reversal it was already -$65 and I was confused what to do and what not to do. And went the price went bottom I thought of selling and hedging it and I had plan taking profit from lower end and when market reverse I would take profit and stop the hedging and let the rally go towards upside. But even the price I put sell. It dint work rather it become peak low point.
It was like buy high and sell low and vice versa. I had many plans to test my strategies which i have had practiced during paper trading and while paper trading I collected pocket money and saved. It took 3 months. Now before testing those everything has gone. Such a bad luck :(
Only hope if someone would help me now. Just kidding. Will save again and would never make mistake and learn from it. Right now broken af. Would take a 2-3days to recover mentally and build my confidence again.
Started prop firm Made 16k first phase 10k second phase Passed it in a week Started a funded account Closed 9500- in one hour on gold Equity is safe But still Wtf happened 🤣🤣🤣

Or know anything about indices? How’s the market been?
r/Forex • u/Khunoat169 • 1d ago
So frustrated, $1700 profit, but it will be discarded. Why? because my sell limit that i set before bed was triggered 3 mins before the high impact news which violated the no news trading rule. Such a perfect setup yet painful.

Cratering like a rock against USD! I get that it is impacted by BOTH the US tariffs and now the China tariffs, but Australia is a self sufficient economy no?
Is it a good time to accumulate?

I waited for Gold to come into this zone since 1 week, after that it came and went up from my zone took handsome profit. The thing is after that it again came and broke my zone because it already tested my zone. Please rate my setup please.

I trade xauusd and this kind of fluctuation is insane. Although the prices are still at relative highs but the absolute major swings in a short amount of time as well as the fact that its happening across the other markets as well... it can't be good.
Are we heading towards a recession/depression??
