Made a post the other day about how I enjoyed modern AC games because I can play as a girl protagonist and I got this kind of stuff in my inbox immediately after. Men being in this group is exhausting. We can’t even have our own space to talk about things without being harassed

I'm actually not a woman. I'm nonbinary. But, I did grow up AFAB and I always liked what would be called "girly franchises" or "casual franchises".
There was no space online for people who liked these sorts of games. Gaming forums focused on "hardcore", often male oriented games. You would get ignored or mocked for liking series and genres that were seen as too feminine, too childish, too "boring", etc.
I always felt uncomfortable with the belief that liking certain games made me a "casual gamer" instead of a "hardcore gamer". I collect games, buy memorabilia, know more about game lore and gaming history than I do most school subjects, spend dozen hours a month playing games, etc. I just prefered The Sims and Sonic over Call of Duty or Red Dead Redemption.
The especially weird part was spending time in Nintendo fan spaces and coming across this disdain for "casual games". They mocked Diner Dash and Style Savvy in the same breath they said they loved Mario and Pokémon. Okay... how are those really any different? They're all fairly simple, kid friendly, etc. One is just aimed at women while the other is aimed at general audiences/a unisex audience?
I hate the term "comfy game", but I'm glad that it exists as well. Before, these games were just called "casual games" or "girly games", both of which were usually said with an air of mockery.
"Ugh, you like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon? Those aren't real games. Those are just casual games for kids and girls."

Hey everyone! For a while now I’ve been looking for a game that can give me, as a YouTuber put it, that “Man..” moment(that meme of a horse looking at the sea with just the text “MAN”).
Ik that might be a silly way to describe it but it’s the best ive got 💀In terms of games that have given me that moment, it’s been OMORI(actual life altering experience), Pokemon legends arceus(mainly just really sucked me back into my love of pokemon), and Fate stay night(have only read the first route, need to eventually do the other two when i can have enough focus to read lol).
Otherwise everything has been mediocre to really good. Out of the ones listed above OMORI and FSN are the ones that actually hit me emotionally(and ig the first two pokemon mystery dungeons did too). I just want anything that can just suck me into an emotional plot and maybe make me shed a few tears. P.S. if it has anything related to a transfem character or anything about dealing with being lost in your 20’s it has a higher chance to annihilate me.
In terms of what i play on, i have an acer nitro v gaming laptop and a switch lite. ALSO PLS READ: I’ve already been considering FF16 so if you can convince me to take the leap i will. Also ive already seen outer wilds recommended like a million times and i currently dont really have interest in it.
Thanks in advance!

I’m looking for a girly headset so I feel pretty when I game. I currently have a quartz razer kraken with the removable ears but ever since day 1 of having it it the mic has echoed (I know I probably should have returned it a long time ago) and now 2 years later the leather is peeling, I previously had a black kraken lite but that echoed too. I was pretty certain I was done with razer until I saw they were releasing the kuromi set but then they decided it wouldn’t be available in the UK and the only ways to get it aren’t really the most trustworthy routes/will cost me a fortune.
All my friends I play with have recommended steel series but I can’t find any that quite match the aesthetic I’m looking for. Plus most of my friends are guys and they don’t understand my want for a pretty headset.
I’m looking for something that is either pink/white or purple/black to match my ps5 controller(pink/white) or my pc setup (black and purple). I would prefer something that can be used with a 3.5mm jack due to me switching between PC and console frequently but Bluetooth is okay too. But most importantly I want something that will last long, be comfortable, mic won’t echo, sound won’t crackle etc. don’t want anything too expensive but i use it nearly everyday so I’m open to spending more on something really good.
I’ve reached a point where I feel like having something cute and something that works at the same time feels impossible😭

I’m browsing for new keyboards and I need suggestions. I’m currently using the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro mini for my Marvel Rivals games.
It has actuation adjustments so it helps in fast pa Ed combat. It’s also cute.
What are you using?

Finally got a cat tree to go next to my desk to keep my demon child from chewing on things she shouldn’t. The insides of the coffin are supposed to be green but supposedly the cushions ship separately…we’ll see about that. Also a close up cat tax

What gaming related things do you like to do that isn't gaming? (☆▽☆)
This is done by freehand with inspiration from many, many hours of scrolling cross stitch pinterest xD About 4.800 beads, took about 12-14 hours and worth it ୧(^ 〰 ^)୨

I love Sci-fi and futuristic settings in games. So far, I’ve only played Horizon Zero Dawn and Detroit Become Human, but I’m looking to build up my gaming collection. Any recommendations are appreciated!
