Thank you sir (or madam)

I swear sometimes reddit is just tossing pearls before swine

I knew he was going to cook when I saw he looked like Colonel Sanders wearing a Black Lives Matter Toronto Blue Jays cap with a straight brim.

It was the Mark e Smith picture and The Fall album on the wall for me....

Curious why is this a black lives matter hat? I've had a few all black jays hats before and after the BLM shit. I've never heard anybody reference it that way

Some girl at the casino told me about it. She must have loved poker because she wanted to show me her tattoo of a queen of spades.

Right on. Black hats aren't black lives matter hats

That's interesting. I know if you wear an all red Boston hat you can lose your life. All white hats are obv for what they stand for. Yellow hats are a universal signal you are gay.

I follow Rainn Wilson on a few apps, and I immediately thought you were him! Great playing!

Very good, very close to the original. Could you please, share your pedalboard configuration?

Tone sounds great - I have played on and off since I was 16 and only recently in my 50s have I come to appreciate the tone - you sir have nailed it

Perfect David Gilmour and Tim Pierce! And at the same time!

1

u/One_Cattle_5418 1d ago

I thought it was Tim Pearce at first glance. Great job by the way.

Sick! Good job.

Awesome man! I’m hearing elements of Lee Ritenour in your playing

1

u/TFFPrisoner 1d ago

Apparently Lee helped Gilmour with figuring out how to finish the solo!

1

u/OldGtrGarden 1d ago

Yeah you got the joke. There’s a clip on YouTube about Lee describing the process and speaking about how much he respected David and the band…

Nailed it. Keep on rocking

1

u/TFFPrisoner 1d ago

Not every note was spot on (mostly in the second half) but the tone absolutely is!

1

u/Nomadt 1d ago

Nailed it.

u/aheartworthbreaking 1d ago

Are those Lace Sensors?

1

u/Rockchef 1d ago

Indeed they are

1

u/aheartworthbreaking 1d ago

I’ve been considering putting them in my Player II so good to have a sound reference :)

1

u/Rockchef 1d ago

These are original golds they also came in red and blue script later

Curious which pedals from your board are active here? If you don’t mind answering

1

u/Rockchef 1d ago

I don’t believe I had anything running aside from a really nice AC30 tuned in with some reverb and a tiny bit of the OCD

1

u/Happynessisgood10011 1d ago

That was awesome and perfect.

This is indeed an 89 Strat Plus. If I played this on a brand new Strat it would likely not sound much different I imagine. Mostly in the hands and the amp really. The old gear is more rare making it more desirable I guess. I have a 1962 Fender Bassman amp however the VOX is what I usually go to. Nice to have a few vintage items though.

Now I can actually appreciate Dave's guitar work. Tbvh I never really forgave the band for dismissing Syd Barret, but it probably wasn't their fault... so ok.. that is actually good*.

*It's still not Bike or See Emily Play or Arnold Lane... but yeah... it's ok.

2

u/Eastern-Reindeer6838 1d ago

Syd Barret dismissed himself.

1

u/simagus 1d ago

Roger that.
