As an update: the owner made a statement

Doesn't seem like the owners are intent on negotiating. Could all be solved very easily by the bosses.

Or by the workers dropping their ludicrous demands to work whatever schedule they want, profit sharing without any risk, raises based on seniority rather than performance.... The 30/38 folks still working don't seem to have an issue with the working conditions.

What a joke! I was shamed by these people on strike for trying to walk around urban ore during my lunch hour.

You tried to walk around a picket line, expect to be shamed. Maybe they misunderstood your intent, but now being against the strike because of a misunderstanding is a shit take that earns you zero sympathy from me.

The world is bigger than your personal experience.

You dumb girl that didn't even work at urban ore jumped in front my car as I was trying to enter the parking lot. At no point was there ever a "picket line"

sounds like you crossed a picket line. why did you do that

Only 8 out of 38 workers are striking- they have a bunch of "supporters" who are taking shifts to make it look bigger.

>You dumb girl

Yet not so dumb I fail to see that strikers who try to prevent customers from entering the store are doing so for a reason... like that there is a strike. Like WTF did you think was the reason they jumped in front of your car? Just for fun?

>that didn't even work at urban ore

Unclear how you can tell who is/isn't an employee, but if someone wants to support the strike by marching with the workers, that's called solidarity.

It's your prerogative whether or not you agree with the strike and want to support it. But to pretend you didn't cross the picket line just makes you sound like you're not paying attention.

They're blocking the driveway entrance, accosting people in cars. Dig a little deeper into the IWW and you'll see that they sabotage small mom and pop businesses, and bring no value to the workers in the end. It's a circus.

Today, I was verbally harassed on my way in and out of Urban Ore. While I fully support workers fighting for fair wages and better working conditions, it’s important to remember that everyone has the right to go about their day without being intimidated or verbally assaulted. This kind of behavior crosses a legal line and creates a hostile environment.

Strikes are important, but harassment of customers should never be a part of that. No one should have to feel unsafe simply for choosing to enter a store. I absolutely support workers standing up for what they deserve, but there’s a line between peaceful protest and disrespecting others. Verbally harassing people doesn’t help the cause; it just creates more division and makes things worse for everyone.

You crossed a picket line of striking workers. I understand you're not an employee, but crossing a picket line of workers on strike is interpreted as a hostile and aggressive action and you should feel uncomfortable about doing such a thing. In the future, you should refrain from crossing picket lines and instead support working people putting their livelihoods on the line to better conditions for everyone.

4:23, there was not a picket line. Two groups chatting on both sides. No line. Good luck! Edit to add: uncomfortable, yes…not verbally harassed.

If there was a picket of workers on strike and you walked past it to go to the enterprise in question...you crossed a picket line. I'm sorry this is confusing to you but that is what you did. I don't know what was said, but you can expect strong, insulting language if you decide to cross a picket line of striking workers. Next time do better.

Thank you for shopping at Urban Ore and supporting the 30/38 workers and two owners that are keeping this place afloat.
