The cutest 4 week old, he’s been a resident for 1 week and 2 days. Came in limp and lifeless, now a sassy king

My son turned 4 months old this week, and today he had his first vet appointment since his adoption to finish up some boosters and get his rabies shot. He was an angel for the vet and they complimented how adorable and pleasant he was 🥰
As you can see, he’s a chatty little guy with lots to say on the drive to and from the vet 😅 I think he was shaming me about the indignity of being locked up in his carrier. Tiny screms and escape attempts.
The first 5 pictures are from today. For a lil size comparison, the last 5 pictures are from when he was 9 weeks old on the day we brought him home! He was so smol and still had his newborn blue eyes 🥹

Hi everyone So as some of you know Mama Bella gave birth on Saturday. They are all doing great. But I’ve noticed she doesn’t come out the room much. I know she is nursing a lot and happy she is a good mum. But a few times she came out to the corridor and she clearly wants to come into the living room to chill. But she doesn’t want to leave the kittens alone. Is this normal ? I am starting to wonder if she may become depressed nursing all day and lying down in the pen with them. As it’s my first time caring for a mother and her kittens I just want to get it right and make sure she’s ok.. If any of you know the drill can you get back to me pls. If it’s normal how long does it last ? If not what could I do ? Thanks

Hello everyone meet Bella
She was born on January 23rd 2025. I got her three weeks ago around at 7 weeks old. First time having a cat as a pet and I’m loving it. She loves being petted/scratched. When I sleep, she comes right to my head or under my blanket under my arms. She was loving since I got her day 1. 🙂
I just have two questions
I am home most days. Maybe two-three days I’ll be out to the office for 3-5 hours. And occasionally I’ll go out on a weekend night. When I do come back from my office or night with friends, she shows no signs of separation anxiety. Again I’m not away for too long. But sometimes I feel like she can use a friend? What do you guys think considering everything I said? I feel like she’s loving her life now but just don’t want her to feel lonely
Second question
I wanted to bring her to my parent’s house this weekend for dinner and introduce her to my family. Only a 7 minute drive. But my parents do have a younger dog but she’s also a sweetheart, she’s not aggressive or big at all. Is this a good idea? She seemed to be social when my friends did come over. She came by and smelled my friends, not hiding in a corner somewhere.
Just trying to get some insight from experienced cat owner. I just want the best for her
Thank you!

Is anyone else with Trupanion seeing their monthly premium increase dramatically? Mine went from $31 to $41 last year and now they are quoting $51(!) starting in May. Apparently it’s based on vet costs in your area but this seems unrealistic…

2 months ago I posted Bea on here because we had just let her in from outside and I thought she was still a kitten. Turns out she's 1-2 years old! She got out for a week in January when I was trying to take her to the vet, and she must have gotten knocked up! Well, here are her kittens! Last Wednesday morning she gave birth to one baby (pic 3) and then Thursday morning, she gave birth to 3 more (pic 4). The first too pictures are from today and yesterday.

She’s so tiny (4yo, just small), we weren’t sure how many she was hiding. They’re all doing great and she’s a wonderful mama. We told ourselves we couldn’t get attached but they already have names so I guess we’re keeping them lol

Hi everyone, well the mob turned a month today. I have had them for a week and they have received all their oral medication. Three of the kittens kept going after moms food,so I made their first plate today. Everything is going well.

Just one photo of total cuteness today. Everyone is doing fine. Another week or so and Momma will be weaning the little orange munchkins. More photos to come. I’m still recovering from my surgery so go easy on me.
** Disclaimer: (1) I did not know she was pregnant when I rescued her; (2) She will be spayed after the babies are weaned; (3) I will be re-homing at least three kitties but not until mid-May; (4) I am located in San Antonio, TX**
