Everyone has worked with one of these guys. The gym rat whose whole personality is that he LoOoVeS bacon, his whole skillset seems to just be self-aggrandizement and gladhanding, and yet somehow he has been elevated into a high-paid position he's utterly unsuited for with some fancy title like Director of Operational Strategy. He's a net drag on the company, but the CEO loves him and thinks he's critical to success.
I had someone in mind when the post came up and with every word in your comment that image solidified lol. Being a nice suck-up to higher ups is such a hack if you're not competent. Even if you're generally a dick otherwise.
