Looks like that is a poorly designed place with entry door next to stairs. so if you don't vacuum often, you'll spread dirt all over the place.

yes because dust, dirt and hairs etc. that you typically vacuum will definitely be picked up by the camera

Ok, but maybe it's just a camera they placed here for whatever reason like security or watching the dogs or some shit.
