My mom and dad kick my ass in every RTS. Before the original servers of the age of empire series shut down my parents were ranked in the top 10,000. Now they play on steam but not as competitively.

Age of Empires is my favorite RTS all-time due to nostalgia. Tell your parents I love them.

Out of curiosity, how many people were playing at the time the original servers shut down?

Not sure about when the servers were shutting down but around the time AOE 3 came out there were about 100k ranked players.
