Personally, I think he carries around a knife because he needs an alibi.

Did they say that anywhere?

I'm just asking because you are inventing and projecting reason they have it.

Maybe I'm taking this personally a little because I take a big knife like that when camping. I use it to split firewood, not because it makes me feel like a man.

Saying it's pathetic is a little mean spirited. You are more than entitled to your opinion but kinda mean language there. They posted the picture to celebrate becoming a manager not to be roasted.

“While camping” and “while managing a store” seem like very different scenarios, no?

You use a shitty mall kiosk knife to split firewood? Are you new to earth or something? They make tools called "axes" specifically for splitting firewood.

This guy has never camped. A knife that’s works and is lighter than an axe might be more useful.

Lmao I have camped many, many times and I would never use this shitty knife to split wood. I use a hatchet because that's what they're for.

Some carry multiple sharp metal cutting tools, some travel light and only bring a single all purpose tool. Whether you would use it and how effective it is at what you use it for is different.

I'm sorry but there is no universe in which a knife is effective at splitting wood. It's just not an all purpose tool because it's the wrong shape. Travel and camp however you want but you're making a simple job harder than it needs to be.

So is carrying a hatchet when you don’t need to cut wood as often as you do when you camp. Different strokes for different folks. It doesn’t seem that hard to imagine someone camping without a hatchet and instead use a multipurpose knife. People really don’t have any ability for that anymore huh

I used to go camping all the time. Using a knife to split wood sounds like the kind of shit that would make a scoutmaster take your knife. Also if I’m traveling light I can collect wood I don’t have to split much faster than it’s going to take to split with a knife.

I can’t remember when or why but I‘ve used the hacksaw on my knife while camping enough to wear a few out but this isn‘t a hacksaw.

For real - why on earth would you use a knife instead of the tool that is built for it? It isn't just the fact that an axe is sharp that makes it split wood. It's the wedge shape that actually does the work. A knife doesn't even make sense for the job.

Doesn’t sound like he’s chopping big planks of wood, obviously you wouldnt use a knife to cut wood. Carrying a multipurpose knife that you might need to use to cut some wood, yes. Some people carve wood, some people don’t camp like you do, maybe some people use a knife because it works for what they need. Also some people feel the need to shit on others for very stupid reasons, like owning a knife. Seems more ideological than anything given all these comments about people’s personal opinion in a picture.

Ok cool, I guess you can smell things others can’t. Doesn’t seem like a good reason to judge others and be a fucking tool but whatever. It’s the internet.

Dude has two knives on him. He ain't using either to do anything other than breaking down boxes at work like a fucking loser.
