Not a meme, just a text screenshot because I'm lazy :) Why the hell the sect disciples in Xianxia are so dumb?

They see their sect master and elders in fear of someone yet still want to fight them because of "face" or shits like that bruh

Well, aside from them wanting to keep face for both their sect, and themselves, you also have to understand they're young, and due to the world they're born into, they're power hungry, with talent mattering more than anything, those with high level talent won't simply accept someone they'd been stepping on not long ago stepping on them.

Tl;dr: They simply won't accept an ant wanting to step on them as they're to prideful and don't at least have some conscience like these sect masters / elders who are older to surrender. Inexperienced, really.

Edit: Well, some of these elders don't want to live so who knows if they actually have that, so everyone could be inexperienced, lol.

Makes sense but... well, the enemy was the Demon King, one of the Ancient Dragons, who's actually a real God, if your sect master and elders are scared of someone known as Ancient Dragon God, why the hell would you try to pick a fight lmao

Because they're brainwashed.

Part of the whole sect thing is training up the disciples to be fearless. Which works because being seen as pussy means that you look weak and weak people get bullied. So the sect teaches all the disciples to never back down, and never show fear. And because they're young and don't have enough life experience yet, they still believe it.

Whereas the Sect Elders are old enough (and are the survivors of the dog eat dog cultivation world) to have broken out of that brainwashing.
