Help How are you collectors doing in these uncertain economic times?
When it comes to this hobby, it isn’t exactly something that can be done on a budget, especially if you like truly rare and gargantuan relics. These uncertain economic times have caused me to look at my hoard and think about thinning out this or selling that – thinking about what I truly wish to keep or merely liked at the time.
While I do have these feelings, I also still see amazing pieces go up for sale or be offered to eager buyers, whether they are from long-gone conflicts or currently running wars. It’s personally complicated as I look at getting rid of one item and then think about obtaining another, which isn’t exactly fiscally responsible. It just overall makes me feel guilty about even maintaining such an expensive pastime as people my age scrimp and save for essentials.
Is anybody else having these feelings, whether it is due to pressing economic needs or the personal desire to be more responsible during these trying times? Do any older collectors have some advice? Any pieces that you were eager to sell or regretted down the line during these less-than-certain times? Are you folks still expanding your collections or are pausing / downsizing?

Help WWII Japanese Red Cross sake cup
My mother found this sake cup at a garage sale. She said the owner described it as a "World War II Japanese Red Cross sake cup" but I don't know anything more about it. A Google reverse image search turned up similar sake cups, but none of them depicts a Red Cross flag. A search in r/Warrelics for "sake cup" didn't turn up anything; a search of this subreddit for "sake cup" resulted in images of similar, but not identical, cups that also didn't depict a Red Cross flag. There are no marks of any kind on the bottom of the cup. Does anyone have any suggestions about its provenance or where I could look for more information? Thanks ....

Cold War - Others Brazilian M1 liner
Thought I might share this. This is a very late (last version) M1 liner made in Brazil. Suspension is all synthetic material. This one has a nice 15° GAC AP (15th Self-propelled Campaign Artillery Group) decal on the side

Help Is this an SS pocket knife?
Hi. So, my late grandpa who was in concentration camp (in Poland) in the last years of the war (captured by Germans while working with resistance group in Norway), had this knife in his collection, i was hoping i could get someone with knowledge from this type of things to tell me if this is an SS, wermacht, or similar pocket knife? It is marked on the blade as "R.A.Herder Solingen". Does the symbols on it (scull, chain and eye) have a meaning? Is it a standard issue or might it be an officer who might cary such items?
Thank you for any help. 🙏🏻

Informative Sweden M26 Helmet
The M26 helmet is a steel helmet that was almost exclusively used by the Swedish Civil Defense, "Civilförsvaret".
A successor to the M21 steel helmet, the M26 was of a simplified construction to its predecessor and would be used in secondary roles for years after being formally replaced by the M37 steel helmet.

Help I've had this breadt eagle in my collection for about 7 months now and I still don't know if it's original?
I took this eagle off of a post war airforce tunic that someone sew on for a reenactment probably, and I don't know If it's a repro or an original. IMO the biggest turn off about it is the back of it and how it's just a see through white piece of fabric, but the front doesn't look half that bad, so idk about it, I'd like to wish some sort of luftwaffe nerd could help me out on this lol

Help Any help IDing this parka? I'm guessing French or Dutch, Italian? Stamp appears to read "B | 4" on the left and "BAFA 2" on the right side. Doesn't look like any older French I've seen before. Any help appreciated, thank you

Help Any red flags on this Honour Dagger?
I’m looking at purchasing an Honour Dagger, and wanted to check with the experts of Reddit whether there are any red flags.
Appears to be a chained version, missing the chain. Everything looks okay to my eye. Is it genuine? Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
I just picked this up for £40 at an antique shop. Just wondering if I got a good deal for it.
Can anyone tell me about the man in the passport. I think he is a ww1 veteran but that's of the age.
Any help is appreciated.

Help Lafayette Escadrille Doughboy Helmet
Does anyone have any information on this helmet type and painting style? Interestingly, H.B. Willis was an aviator and member of the Lafayette Escadrille that designed the squadron’s insignia. Would this have been done during or after the war? Or by him at all? Thanks for the help!
