MH Wilds Now that Shockproof is a skill

I better see every one of you longsword weebs sloting this on your build. No more "just slot flinch free bro". Slot this level 1 deco and you can no longer flinch your teammates with that 8 foot flagpole of a weapon.

For every longsword main I catch not using this skill I will eat 1 baby Seikret for dinner. No exceptions.

To be fair, people should be slotting in the skill regardless, especially in multiplayer settings. You don't trip others and others don't trip you. Then no one can complain.

Does the skill do anything outside of MP?

No. You can grapple with that if you want, as equipment loadouts are easy to register. My take: 1 L1 armor slot isn't worth much once divine blessing is slotted in, and just leaving the deco equipped isn't going to lose you much.

No.

I’m swapping shockproof for flinch free and using nothing but dual blades in multiplayer.

I’m gonna have dual blades as my secondary and bring them out anytime I’m on a team with other long blade or dual blade users who don’t have shockproof. How hard is it to slot a single jewel instead of ruining the hunts for everyone else?

Good thing that won’t affect me since I’m running flinch free. It has always been normal to slot flinch free. If you can’t find it within yourself to slot it, you deserve to be knocked around. Don’t rely on random players to cater to you and don’t complain when they don’t. It’s childish and makes others want to comply to your demands even less.

Do what you want, I’m not the one people complaining about flinching lol. Feel free to carry bad multiplayer etiquette.

Long sword and dual blade users really not escaping “selfish a-hole” accusations here. Your weapons degrade hunt quality, especially with Wilds’ faster pace. Slot a single jewel.

You seem to have issues with reading comprehension as well. When I say everyone it includes people like myself who do slot it in because there’s other weapons who do flinch besides long sword users. You should slot it in yourself so that you don’t flinch other people. Don’t be inconsiderate if you are online helping others.

Other weapons flinch sure - but long sword and dual blades flinch more than others.

You can slot a single jewel to prevent that when using those. Why are you leaving it on others to slot a jewel to not get flinched when you can prevent that altogether? Or am I missing something here?

I mean, can't like, 100% of players just put on shock proof? haha I really don't understand the discussion in this thread boiling down to "I play LS and use shock proof, but if you're worried about flinching you should also use shock proof" and then the replies being "well why don't you use shock proof so I don't have to use shock proof, why do I have to use shock proof". Everyone should be using it regardless of what weapon they use, it's so free.

Fair enough, I can get behind that - I get that.

But it needs to be drilled in not longsword and dual blade players how much of a nuisance their weapons are in online play if they don’t compensate for their lack of etiquette.

Why are you leaving it to others to do something you should have on anyways? Not that hard of a concept to understand, that way you yourself cannot be bothered by other people. If this is still an issue for you, play solo.

You’re going into online play with a weapon that is known to cause issues in faster paced hunts and you’re blaming others for not tip-toeing around your build?

That’s no different that the people who whine about wounds being taken by other players online - if you lack the etiquette to compensate for your own shortcomings, play offline.

You still have issues understanding it seems lol. Your weapon I don't care what it is, is capable of tripping other people. You yourself should have it on yourself alongside with other players so you don't become an issue to other people. If a long sword has it on and you are getting tripped and staggered by another weapon then its not the long sword person's fault. Why is this a hard concept for you to understand? I have it on so i don't get tripped by any weapon, everyone should have it on. Either deal with it or play solo.

Weapons with a 5% chance of disrupting hunt flow shouldn’t have to compensate their build for weapons with a 95% chance of disrupting hunt flow.

If you’re disregarding that simple aspect, then I can’t help you.

Spare us all and play offline.
