This is basically how I feel. I've not had to play out builds at all, never used armor spheres, no need for ancient potions or drugs. It's a bummer honestly. Haven't tried the new stuff yet but it seems a step in the right direction, but I just wanna go back to GU at this point.
I even enjoyed Rise after some updates. It was a bit too easy for most the content, but it was still fun with the grind, gameplay loop and the bit of challenge end game.
What's crazy is I have never even been great at Monster Hunter lmfao. I never soloed furious Rajang in world (he was easy AF in rise) never solod Raging Brach, never beat Fatalis or Altreon!
Like, I am not good at this game. No reason my hunts are 6-15 minutes (absolutely max 15 when I'm fucking around and messing with new mechanics or new weapons I'm not comfortable with)
Yep and it’s the same formula for wilds it gets harder after every update and then it gets even harder when g rank comes capcom has been doing the same shit for years now this is how I see it LR is easy mode, HR is normal mode, and MR is hard mode
No I definitely agree with. My issue is how absurdly easy HR tempered was. HR tempered was 2x easier then end of LR hunts in world. That's where my gripe lies.
Sure, future content will tune up the difficulty some, but my anxiety lies in how absurdly easy the content is that my fear is if tempered HR die in 8 minutes without even upgraded gear I was afraid that it would take G rank devient+++ to add a level of challenge.
With that being said im currently ignorant about current state of the game because I haven't played the update. I am probably going to skip it for later updates in hopes that when I come back there's enough of a challenge for me to feel the need to get better and crank out builds to win some of the more challenging content.
Everyone plays games for different reasons and has their own things they like. What I like about monster hunter is the never ending laundry list of things I need to do :"I need to hunt blank for more pieces to hopefully complete my build. X is a difficult fight I'm struggling on so let's work on getting his pattern down a bit better. I need to eventually kill monster Y so let's go make a weapon that is the element it's weak against. I have to beat this blank monster to get said weapon but he's a bit of challenge so now I need to go grind some consumables for the biggest advantage I can come up with"
I haven't felt any of that being able to easily kill every monster with weak gear and no specific build.
Honestly my take on it is that it’s gonna be easier because of game mechanics not that monster are scaled any differently the reason you think it’s easier is because you have knowledge of how monster hunter games work plus the new mechanics in wilds and G rank will definitely be harder because that’s where most of the challenging fights are gonna be
I disagree though when I have been playing for 20 years. I haven't felt like I've improved at monster hunter in 10 years lol.
I'm not saying anything about G rank. Maybe G rank will be a massive jump up in difficulty.
However if I compare LR/HR Gen, LR/HR World, LR/HR RIse with the low rank and high rank wild, wild is just exponentially easier.
Also, I didn't even know about the wound system until the very end of the game. I have had a lot going on lately and most of my gaming occurred well sleep deprived and I somehow missed the wound system til very late on.
