Fun fact: People with certain proclivities often cannot conceive of other people not sharing those proclivities. In this case, a serial sexual assaulter and rapist assumes that all men are prone to the same behavior. This is a prime example of what is commonly known as a “self-report.”
Off topic but I've dealt with this first-hand in my family.
Aunt/Uncle been doing some eyebrow raising things like putting my Grandmother's property (coins/jewelry/documents) because they're convinced someone (me) will try stealing it. Goes without being said but they did all of this without my Grandmother's approval. They walk all over her, and emotionally manipulate her until she drops the subject
Long story short, I've called them out on being thieves and my Aunt especially didn't take it very well. I told her that if she wasn't a thief, she wouldn't be bothered by the accusation. My Uncle was confronted and we demanded he give us the key to his vault which has my Grandmother's property in it. He gave us a dud key and whispered something about it being stolen to my Grandmother.
ANYWAYS they've thrown all sorts of insults and harsh words my way after the incident. Majority of it being calling ME a thief as-if that makes any remote sense. I'd rather watch all that money burn (or given to charity) than use it myself.
